- [00:00:05.850]Hi, Blake Arney for BRDC 477,
- [00:00:08.720]and the Omaha North football team started the season
- [00:00:11.740]with five straight losses.
- [00:00:13.530]And after going oh and five,
- [00:00:15.160]they won their next four and qualified for the playoffs.
- [00:00:18.330]And after that, being ranked the 16th team,
- [00:00:21.270]the bottom ranked team in the playoffs,
- [00:00:23.430]they had nothing to lose.
- [00:00:24.560]In the first game of the playoffs,
- [00:00:26.360]North came up against undefeated Millard South,
- [00:00:29.160]who was the top team in the state.
- [00:00:31.290]The Vikings had trailed the entirety of the game
- [00:00:34.050]against the Patriots, but after clawing back,
- [00:00:36.870]Omaha North leveled things up at 42
- [00:00:39.050]with just over five minutes to play.
- [00:00:41.130]Both teams were battling for the last score,
- [00:00:43.400]and overtime loomed large, but the Vikings had the ball
- [00:00:46.720]with just over a minute to play.
- [00:00:48.560]However, that chance didn't last long,
- [00:00:50.830]and the Patriots picked off senior quarterback

- [00:00:54.640]The Vikings defense held out hope though.
