- [00:00:09.680]of the mean for the percent greenness for all three
- [00:00:12.730]of our buffalograss genotypes.

- [00:00:19.810]So the first thing that we have to do is find our mean
- [00:00:23.510]and round it to the 10th decimal place.

- [00:00:41.420]And I have all the data collected for each date in 2015.

- [00:00:50.750]So our first step is to calculate the mean.
- [00:00:53.780]So I have created a column for the mean
- [00:00:57.760]and so you'll be able to see it easily.
- [00:01:00.680]I know that these two dates in April
- [00:01:02.350]are both going to be zero.
- [00:01:04.590]So I'm going to start for May 11th.
- [00:01:07.550]And to calculate the mean,
- [00:01:09.150]you would hit equals, average, open parenthesis,
- [00:01:14.500]and then you will highlight the cells
- [00:01:17.140]that you want calculated and you hit enter.
- [00:01:20.330]And there you have your mean.
- [00:01:22.660]And so to get the mean for the other dates,
- [00:01:25.740]all I have to do is click and drag down
- [00:01:29.600]and it'll automatically calculate that for me.
- [00:01:32.890]And so to round our mean, I know those are zero.
- [00:01:37.790]All I do is I hit equals, round, open parenthesis,
- [00:01:44.260]highlight my mean, you're gonna put a comma and a one.
- [00:01:49.440]And so one signals to round one spot to the right

- [00:01:53.960]So if I put a two there instead,
- [00:01:56.340]that would signal it to round two spots
- [00:02:01.040]to the right of the decimal place.
- [00:02:02.560]So we want the 10th, so we only want one.
- [00:02:05.280]Close my parentheses and I hit enter
- [00:02:09.010]and my data is rounded to the 10th decimal place.
- [00:02:13.260]And then all I do is click and drag down again.
- [00:02:16.470]And all of my mean
- [00:02:18.020]for this genotype of buffalograss is rounded.

- [00:02:23.850]for your other two buffalograss genotypes
- [00:02:27.140]and then in the next video, we will take this data
- [00:02:30.810]and we will create a line graph for it.
