- [00:00:23.130]Ready to learn to be firefighter today?
- [00:00:25.660]Let's do this, come on, you're way behind.
- [00:00:30.440]I'm so excited for this.
- [00:00:32.360]Are you ready to learn how to be a firefighter today?
- [00:00:34.780]You guys, this is my very good friend, firefighter Rachel,
- [00:00:37.860]and I'm so excited to introduce you to the fire station.
- [00:00:42.100]We are really excited.
- [00:00:43.260]So today we're gonna have you become a firefighter.
- [00:00:46.070]We're gonna show you the trucks.
- [00:00:47.820]We're gonna show you how to dress as a firefighter
- [00:00:50.850]and how to put on our air packs today too,
- [00:00:53.060]so that we sound like Darth Vader, (mimicking Darth Vader).
- [00:00:58.235]So that you aren't afraid of us
- [00:00:59.550]if you're inside of a fire and we need to rescue you.
- [00:01:02.020]Right. Are you guys ready? Are you excited for this?
- [00:01:05.110]Are you ready?
- [00:01:05.943]I'm ready. All right, let's go.
- [00:01:07.224]Okay.
- [00:01:09.887](happy music)
- [00:01:13.810]Greetings friends and welcome
- [00:01:15.860]to our amazing fire hall here.
- [00:01:18.850]So we're a volunteer service.
- [00:01:20.240]So what that means is you saw us come in really fast.
- [00:01:22.830]Well, we do that anytime in the day or night.
- [00:01:25.600]Some people are doctors, some people are lawyers,
- [00:01:28.140]some people are teachers, some people are cops, like me.
- [00:01:31.970]Some people are farmers.
- [00:01:33.300]It doesn't matter, they're volunteering for their community.
- [00:01:35.970]But we all take a lot of training.
- [00:01:38.130]So, we're gonna learn
- [00:01:40.590]how to put on our safety equipment today.
- [00:01:42.770]So we have two kinds of safety equipment.
- [00:01:45.310]We have EMT gear and we have firefighter gear.
- [00:01:48.930]The difference between the two of them
- [00:01:51.240]is that one has a really thick material on it
- [00:01:55.130]so that we can stay nice and cool inside of a fire.
- [00:01:58.820]'Cause firefighters otherwise
- [00:02:00.220]would get really, really super hot.
- [00:02:02.900]So we have an extra layer.
- [00:02:04.760]Where the firefight... the EMTs, they have special gear too,
- [00:02:09.520]that will still help protect from fire,
- [00:02:12.120]but they don't have the same type of insulation
- [00:02:15.220]inside of the coat that our firefighters do.
- [00:02:19.720]Our firefighters stay protected this way
- [00:02:23.870]so that we can stay cool and not overheat inside.
- [00:02:28.730]All right so,
- [00:02:31.180]firefighters have to do this really, really quickly.
- [00:02:34.600]Okay.
- [00:02:35.433]Do you know how quickly we have to do this?
- [00:02:38.340]10 seconds.
- [00:02:39.320]Okay, not that quick.
- [00:02:40.370]Oh, okay, okay.
- [00:02:41.203]I mean, I'm not lightning.
- [00:02:42.940]So we have to be able to do this in under a minute.
- [00:02:47.540]Okay.
- [00:02:48.373]Do you think you can do this?
- [00:02:49.206]I'm gonna really try.
- [00:02:50.039]Ah, she cheated, she unzipped her boots.
- [00:02:51.450]Oh.
- [00:02:52.283]But I did too.
- [00:02:53.330]Okay, we're gonna slow it down today for you though.
- [00:02:56.990]So that you can see what it takes to get dressed
- [00:02:59.450]as a firefighter and an EMT.
- [00:03:01.970]So the first thing we do is we're gonna kick off our boots.
- [00:03:06.939](upbeat music)
- [00:03:08.370]See my boots are already in my pants.
- [00:03:10.980]I just have to make sure that my suspenders
- [00:03:13.350]aren't caught underneath my boots.
- [00:03:15.440]So we put those down and we put our feet into the boots.
- [00:03:21.521](upbeat music)
- [00:03:28.030]This is really heavy. Why is it so heavy?
- [00:03:31.110]It's heavy because it needs to keep us safe
- [00:03:33.130]inside of a fire.
- [00:03:34.770]Fires get really hot.
- [00:03:35.880]So if you bake cookies,
- [00:03:37.130]your cookies are at 350 degrees in your oven.
- [00:03:40.390]But some fires we go into are much, much hotter than that.
- [00:03:44.540]So like on your campfires too, they get super hot.
- [00:03:48.710]And we are always told to keep our hands away
- [00:03:51.460]so we don't get burnt, right.
- [00:03:52.940]Well, we need to make sure that our firefighters
- [00:03:54.960]keep from getting burnt,
- [00:03:55.800]so we wear all this special clothes.
- [00:03:58.490]So she has her pants on.
- [00:04:00.240]I have to put something on special
- [00:04:01.990]over my head called a Nomex hood
- [00:04:04.460]because it'll keep my face and my neck from being burned.
- [00:04:11.380]And it looks like this.
- [00:04:13.290]They come in all different colors and things like that.
- [00:04:16.080]So some people like superheroes, I do too.
- [00:04:19.920]But I don't have one right now.
- [00:04:21.830]I like Wonder Woman and Spider-Man,
- [00:04:23.900]but today I just have a plain one.
- [00:04:27.930]So it sits like this.
- [00:04:29.620]Hm.
- [00:04:30.453]So the next thing we need to put on is our jackets.
- [00:04:35.337](upbeat music)
- [00:04:42.200]Now our jackets, we would zip all the way to the top.
- [00:04:45.470]And I have a little flap on mine
- [00:04:47.430]to protect it from the heat as well.
- [00:04:50.830]Her jacket zips all the way to the top
- [00:04:52.970]and has lots of reflective gear on it
- [00:04:55.340]so that if we're out on a car accident,
- [00:04:57.530]she's able to be seen by other people that are out there
- [00:05:00.640]from the fire department,
- [00:05:02.090]as well as cars that are passing by.
- [00:05:05.350]The reflective stuff is this bright yellow
- [00:05:07.270]with the silver in the middle of it.
- [00:05:09.149]Mm-hm.
- [00:05:09.982]And ours, we have reflective material as well.
- [00:05:12.880]So that if we're inside of a fire,
- [00:05:14.620]that they're still able to see us if we're crawling through,
- [00:05:17.230]even in the smoke.
- [00:05:19.510]Pretty fun, huh?
- [00:05:20.343]It is. Safe.
- [00:05:21.920]Super safe.
- [00:05:23.020]So the next thing that we have is we have helmets.
- [00:05:25.430]Because we need to be able to protect our heads
- [00:05:27.340]from falling things.
- [00:05:29.030]And we have lots of different colors, as you can see here.
- [00:05:32.710]So do you think you could tell me what the colors mean?
- [00:05:37.410]Hm.
- [00:05:41.040]Well, this one matches me.
- [00:05:42.810]That's right, very good.
- [00:05:44.285]I would guess this will probably go with my EMT
- [00:05:46.300]as a rescue person.
- [00:05:47.610]Very good.
- [00:05:48.610]Yep, that is your helmet for the day.
- [00:05:50.890]So blue in our department means rescue squad.
- [00:05:54.320]So that we see them out on a scene somewhere
- [00:05:56.810]that we can quickly see where those EMTs are at.
- [00:06:00.500]Now, I'll explain the rest of them if that's okay.
- [00:06:02.743]That's perfect.
- [00:06:03.576]'Cause we do a little bit different color scheme
- [00:06:05.040]than everyone else.
- [00:06:06.320]But our helmet colors help us tell who's on the scene
- [00:06:09.730]and who has experience, and who's in charge.
- [00:06:12.470]Because just like your teachers in charge of your classroom,
- [00:06:15.500]the same thing on a fire department.
- [00:06:17.410]We have different people that are trained
- [00:06:19.230]in things to help see who's in charge.
- [00:06:21.730]So the black helmet is for our fire chief
- [00:06:24.627]and our assistant fire chief.
- [00:06:26.660]So those two guys are the ones that are in charge
- [00:06:29.490]like your moms and dads.
- [00:06:30.730]They're like our moms and dads of the fire department.
- [00:06:33.530]So the green helmet means that
- [00:06:35.580]they're a probationary firefighter here.
- [00:06:38.070]That means that they're brand new.
- [00:06:40.180]That they don't have any experience and we're training them
- [00:06:43.090]to do all the awesome things that we do.
- [00:06:46.080]The white helmets mean that they're a regular member.
- [00:06:49.160]Which means that they've made it through
- [00:06:50.540]their probationary time.
- [00:06:51.900]They passed all of their tests on how to do stuff
- [00:06:55.000]with firefighting,
- [00:06:56.230]and now they're a regular member of the department.
- [00:06:58.870]And we have special people that are called captains
- [00:07:01.200]in the fire department.
- [00:07:02.390]So if a chief or assistant chief isn't available
- [00:07:05.720]then a captain helps run different things.
- [00:07:07.970]Whether it be certain rescues that are special,
- [00:07:11.610]or our ladder captain, he runs the ladder truck
- [00:07:14.590]that goes really, really tall.
- [00:07:16.970]Or if it's a fire that's in town,
- [00:07:19.420]or if it's a fire out in the country,
- [00:07:22.070]or if there's a special rescue type thing.
- [00:07:25.020]Like if there's ropes that are involved
- [00:07:27.760]or we're cutting apart a car, we have a rescue captain.
- [00:07:31.630]So that is what the red helmets are for.
- [00:07:34.209]Hm.
- [00:07:35.042]So we put those on to help protect our head.
- [00:07:38.990]And you might hear a lot of jingle jangle behind me, right?
- [00:07:45.180]So the jingle jangle...
- [00:07:48.100]is how they tell who I am
- [00:07:50.520]on the fire department.
- [00:07:51.840]So it has my ID tag.
- [00:07:53.530]You guys, these are kind of like,
- [00:07:54.890]I think what your teachers wear in school.
- [00:07:56.880]Yeah, it's like your school ID. So let me show you those.
- [00:08:03.080]So that you can see, that's who I am and that's my number.
- [00:08:08.340]So they move these around on a fire scene to keep track
- [00:08:11.470]of where we're at,
- [00:08:12.840]what truck we show up on, when we go into a fire,
- [00:08:16.500]when we come out of a fire.
- [00:08:18.350]And where we are on the whole scene
- [00:08:20.170]so that we can stay safe too.
- [00:08:22.910]Pretty neat, huh?
- [00:08:24.030]That's really neat.
- [00:08:24.863]It's kinda like how your teachers always have to know
- [00:08:27.290]in the classroom where you guys are going.
- [00:08:29.760]If you have to go to the bathroom,
- [00:08:32.330]the teacher needs to know where you're at to keep you safe.
- [00:08:35.050]Same thing, firefighter Rachel needs to know
- [00:08:37.670]where all of her team members on the fire squad are at
- [00:08:41.460]to keep them safe as well.
- [00:08:43.410]So everybody on the fire department has those tags
- [00:08:47.100]that go on their helmet.
- [00:08:48.250]And all of our area firefighters have some type
- [00:08:51.040]of either a tag or like a sticker
- [00:08:54.480]that comes off of their uniform and gets put on a board
- [00:08:57.620]so that they know that they're there.
- [00:09:00.512]So cool.
- [00:09:01.345]So, she's an EMT for the day.
- [00:09:03.450]So she gets to wear special gloves.
- [00:09:05.590]So if there's other like sticky substances
- [00:09:09.260]or slimy substances that you don't get that on your hands.
- [00:09:12.920]Now I have special gloves too.
- [00:09:17.120]Do-do-do-do, these gloves, you wanna see one of those?
- [00:09:21.150]They're super thick, aren't they?
- [00:09:22.620]Oh yeah.
- [00:09:23.550]So these gloves are super thick,
- [00:09:25.810]because just like the rest of our firefighting gear,
- [00:09:28.870]they need to keep us safe and not burn our hands.
- [00:09:32.110]Kind of like a pot holder at home.
- [00:09:34.450]So when you take something hot off of the stove,
- [00:09:36.820]you don't burn your hands.
- [00:09:38.280]That's why we have special gloves.
- [00:09:41.340]So we would put these on next,
- [00:09:42.800]after our coat's all zipped up, and we're ready to go.
- [00:09:48.350]Should we go get in the truck
- [00:09:49.590]so I can show you how to put on an air pack?
- [00:09:51.750]Oh, that would be really great.
- [00:09:52.930]And the air pack helps you breathe, right?
- [00:09:54.720]That's right.
- [00:09:55.553]So when it's really, really smokey,
- [00:09:57.270]remember when we talked about this sound (blowing air)?
- [00:10:03.250]That's what it's gonna sound like.
- [00:10:04.730]So let's go get in the truck
- [00:10:06.130]and I'll show you how to put on one of those.
- [00:10:08.036]Okay.
- [00:10:09.247](upbeat music)
- [00:10:10.863](siren blares)
- [00:10:14.990]Welcome to the back of the fire truck.
- [00:10:17.580]This is an amazing place, okay.
- [00:10:19.590]Every fire truck is a little bit different inside.
- [00:10:22.430]I know, I know.
- [00:10:23.890]But this one has four different air packs in the back.
- [00:10:28.090]An air pack, you say? Well, what is that?
- [00:10:31.103]That bottle backpack thing that they wear,
- [00:10:34.290]that firefighters wear,
- [00:10:36.911](grunts in effort)
- [00:10:38.220]is this thing right here.
- [00:10:41.210]It's kind of heavy,
- [00:10:42.170]so I'm not gonna lift it all day, all right?
- [00:10:47.310]All right so, this is what we put on
- [00:10:50.580]so that we can breathe inside of a fire.
- [00:10:52.950]This is just filled with air, okay, not oxygen.
- [00:10:57.610]Because if it was filled with oxygen,
- [00:10:59.660]what would happen to it, teacher?
- [00:11:02.170]Oh, it wouldn't be very safe.
- [00:11:03.570]It'd go boom! So we don't want it to go boom!
- [00:11:07.550]So what we're gonna do is, we're gonna wear this air pack.
- [00:11:11.690]So we have to do a few things in order to put this on.
- [00:11:15.090]So the first thing that we do is, we have to turn it on.
- [00:11:20.555](air pack beeping)
- [00:11:21.840]That beep means it's working.
- [00:11:26.490]So we check the bottle on the bottom.
- [00:11:30.230]Do you see how much that says? Does it say full?
- [00:11:32.861]Oh, it says full. Yep, it's full.
- [00:11:34.336]Good. That's good. Then we have another gauge we check.
- [00:11:38.680]Does that say it's full?
- [00:11:40.030]Yep, it's on the green.
- [00:11:41.040]It's toward, there's like a little dial on there, you guys
- [00:11:44.320]See that? It says it's full.
- [00:11:46.080]That's good.
- [00:11:47.110]So we're gonna put this on
- [00:11:48.100]like our backpacks that we take to school.
- [00:11:54.470]Tighten up the straps because we wanna make sure
- [00:11:56.550]that it doesn't fall off
- [00:11:58.520]and just to make it really secure, I have a waist belt too.
- [00:12:08.590]Boy. That's a lot of gear that you have to wear to be safe
- [00:12:10.800]to help make sure that people are safe.
- [00:12:12.830]But we're not done yet!
- [00:12:15.224]We got more.
- [00:12:16.930]Remember that mask I was telling you about?
- [00:12:19.000]Oh, okay.
- [00:12:19.833]Okay. So now this is where it gets tricky for you, okay?
- [00:12:23.187](deep breath)
- [00:12:27.620](upbeat music)
- [00:12:33.720]What do you guys think that's gonna help her do?
- [00:12:35.340]It covers her face...
- [00:12:38.020]Can you hear me very well?
- [00:12:41.393]Can you guys hear her?
- [00:12:42.390]No. It's hard to hear, isn't it?
- [00:12:43.930]It is kind of hard.
- [00:12:47.290]How about now?
- [00:12:48.250]Oh
- [00:12:49.540]You see this special mic on the side?
- [00:12:52.043]It's so that I can tell people where I'm
- [00:12:54.449]at and you can hear me.
- [00:12:57.330]Now, remember that hood that I had before?
- [00:13:00.460]I need to put that back over, right.
- [00:13:02.622]To make sure I don't get burned.
- [00:13:15.613]Man, she looks really different, doesn't she?
- [00:13:17.890]But it's really great to see all of this because
- [00:13:20.950]if you ever have to have a firefighter come to your house
- [00:13:23.650]or come to school,
- [00:13:24.980]or maybe you guys are at grandma's
- [00:13:26.470]and somebody has to call the fire department,
- [00:13:28.549]you're not gonna see firefighter Rachel
- [00:13:31.160]in just her jeans and a T-shirt.
- [00:13:33.250]You guys are gonna see her in this gear
- [00:13:34.965](high whistle)
- [00:13:35.798]with the other firefighters too.
- [00:13:37.680]What was that sound?
- [00:13:40.240]I stood still for too long.
- [00:13:42.530]So when you stand still for too long,
- [00:13:44.850]it starts to make a noise.
- [00:13:46.130]And if we stand still for a really long time,
- [00:13:48.860]it sets off an alarm like this,
- [00:13:50.568](alarm shrieks)
- [00:13:56.117]to let you know that a firefighter is hurt.
- [00:14:00.778]So, I have all this stuff on now.
- [00:14:03.743]I look a little bit different, don't I?
- [00:14:07.793]So, the next thing that we do is
- [00:14:09.830]we have to be able to breathe in a fire, right?
- [00:14:12.467]Uh-huh.
- [00:14:13.300]So you see this little fun thing right here?
- [00:14:15.810]This gets hooked up.
- [00:14:18.441](mask clicks)
- [00:14:20.493](air hisses)
- [00:14:22.276]There's that sound again, guys
- [00:14:23.109]Do you remember the Darth Vader sound?
- [00:14:27.266](air hisses)
- [00:14:28.820]This is what makes that sound.
- [00:14:31.191]So this hose...
- [00:14:35.041]is hooked up to this bottle.
- [00:14:38.470]And that's how I can breathe.
- [00:14:41.840]Pretty neat, huh?
- [00:14:42.978]It is really neat.
- [00:14:43.968]So when she's going through the house
- [00:14:45.110]and it's full of smoke and there's fire in there
- [00:14:47.930]she's still safe and she can still breathe in there.
- [00:14:51.303]Now something you need to keep in mind too
- [00:14:53.280]is we don't stand up real tall, like this.
- [00:14:58.410]We're gonna be down on our knees like this, and crawling.
- [00:15:02.800]So it'll make it really hard for you to see me.
- [00:15:10.049]But,
- [00:15:12.871]when we take all of this stuff back off,
- [00:15:18.575](upbeat music)
- [00:15:24.773](straps clicking)
- [00:15:28.490]we're the same person,
- [00:15:30.350]maybe with a little messier hair
- [00:15:33.010]but we're the same person.
- [00:15:34.990]So you shouldn't be afraid of us,
- [00:15:36.550]even though we sound like Darth Vader
- [00:15:39.850]and we have a lot of extra clothes on.
- [00:15:42.380]It's just a way for us to stay safe.
- [00:15:45.740]So what do you think about
- [00:15:46.573]going for a ride in the fire truck now?
- [00:15:48.270]Can we do that?
- [00:15:49.350]I think that would be amazing.
- [00:15:50.670]Can we do the lights and the sirens?
- [00:15:52.440]Oh yes, most definitely.
- [00:15:54.150]Okay. 'Cause you guys
- [00:15:55.080]you always hear the sirens
- [00:15:56.540]and I know that at school
- [00:15:58.110]if you guys are playing outside and you hear the sirens
- [00:16:00.160]it's really interesting to go out and look
- [00:16:02.720]if you guys are playing outside at recess
- [00:16:04.130]to see where the fire truck is at, right?
- [00:16:06.320]And did you know, we have to go through special training
- [00:16:08.530]even to drive our fire trucks?
- [00:16:10.710]I didn't know that
- [00:16:11.670]'Cause they're super big
- [00:16:14.200]but they're so much fun.
- [00:16:15.370]So let's go drive the truck!
- [00:16:16.867]Okay!
- [00:16:19.553](upbeat music)
- [00:16:20.928](siren blares)
- [00:16:22.787]Are you guys ready?
- [00:16:23.850]Here we go.
- [00:16:26.109](engine rumbles)
- [00:16:29.734](door squeaks)
- [00:16:32.069](engine rumbles)
- [00:16:34.951](sirens blare)
- [00:16:39.287](horn honks)
- [00:16:42.202](sirens continue)
- [00:16:51.110]So what's really special about this fire truck is,
- [00:16:54.680]it's super big.
- [00:16:56.320]So there takes a lot of specialty training to drive it
- [00:17:00.010]because of how long it is, how tall it is,
- [00:17:03.820]and how much water we're carrying on it.
- [00:17:06.230]And we have some pretty special cargo
- [00:17:09.330]in back with our firefighters.
- [00:17:11.730]So we have to know how that water moves back and forth
- [00:17:15.500]when we come to a corner or to a stop sign.
- [00:17:18.650]And when we make corners with our woo-woo lights on
- [00:17:21.750]we have to run things like the air horn like this.
- [00:17:24.212](horn blares)
- [00:17:27.162]And sometimes we do it just to say hi.
- [00:17:32.072]Pretty neat, huh?
- [00:17:34.040]But we better pay attention to the road.
- [00:17:38.320]Look at all of the lights on the dash.
- [00:17:43.705](engine roars)
- [00:17:52.230](engine rumble continues)
- [00:18:02.481](faint upbeat music)
- [00:18:10.872](upbeat music)
- [00:18:15.395](upbeat music continues)
- [00:18:21.173]Do you notice how the weight shifts in here as we do that?
- [00:18:24.992]It does,
- [00:18:25.825]You can kinda feel a sigh like when you're turning,
- [00:18:29.497]the truck kind of tilts a little bit.
- [00:18:32.320]It kind feels like being in a race car game sometimes,
- [00:18:35.160]doesn't it?
- [00:18:35.993]It does.
- [00:18:39.840]And it's super loud.
- [00:18:45.040]So our firefighters,
- [00:18:46.730]they actually talk about what's gonna happen
- [00:18:48.830]when they get to a scene
- [00:18:49.970]while they're getting in the back
- [00:18:50.980]while while we're going to the fire.
- [00:18:54.130]So they talk
- [00:18:54.963]about what hoses they're gonna pull off of the truck.
- [00:18:57.123]They talk about what hydrant they're gonna hook into.
- [00:19:00.290]They talk about what channel they're gonna be on
- [00:19:02.400]on the radio so that they can talk back and forth.
- [00:19:05.650]So our radio is right down here,
- [00:19:07.840]and we talk to our dispatcher, so,
- [00:19:12.760]should we do a radio check
- [00:19:13.890]to make sure ours is still working?
- [00:19:19.257]0-1 0-Neil
- [00:19:23.571]1 0 1
- [00:19:26.220]Radio check
- [00:19:27.670](radio crackles)
- [00:19:31.475]10-2, 17-58.
- [00:19:33.920]See, he knows by saying those numbers
- [00:19:36.660]that everything is good and that our radio is still working
- [00:19:40.420]but that dispatcher does a really special job.
- [00:19:43.810]So they're the ones that actually take the 911 calls
- [00:19:46.700]when somebody's in trouble.
- [00:19:48.410]And they get us all the information that we need,
- [00:19:50.940]so we know how to respond to a fire
- [00:19:53.490]or respond to an ambulance call.
- [00:19:55.155](upbeat music)
- [00:19:57.274](siren blares)
- [00:20:00.720]Oh, Hey, I got one more thing for you there,
- [00:20:02.350]junior firefighter.
- [00:20:03.390]Oh, yeah.
- [00:20:04.223]So did you have fun today?
- [00:20:05.260]I learned so much.
- [00:20:06.610]Oh man.
- [00:20:07.443]I'm just so thankful for everything that you do.
- [00:20:09.511]And it's just so exciting.
- [00:20:10.840]Well, we're just glad that you were able to come
- [00:20:12.800]along and learn some of the amazing things that we do
- [00:20:15.110]but I got one more thing for you.
- [00:20:16.800]Okay.
- [00:20:17.910]So I have these patches.
- [00:20:19.880]So it's kind of a, a tradition
- [00:20:22.270]and kind of a thing of honor
- [00:20:23.930]that when somebody comes to our firehouse
- [00:20:25.780]we like to give them something back.
- [00:20:27.720]So I'm gonna give you two of our patches.
- [00:20:30.420]So one is our current patch that we're using.
- [00:20:32.800]And one of them is our, our old patch that we used.
- [00:20:35.610]So there's a lot of history
- [00:20:36.720]that goes behind even the patch designs for fire departments
- [00:20:40.220]and the biggest thing that you need to remember
- [00:20:41.900]in any firehouse anywhere across the United States is,
- [00:20:45.510]it's a family.
- [00:20:46.610]So welcome to our family.
- [00:20:47.940]Thank you so much for your time.
- [00:20:49.730]And I hope you guys learned a lot.
- [00:20:51.560]And if you ever have any questions, you know
- [00:20:53.740]we have a really great new friend that we made.
- [00:20:56.630]We have firefighter Rachel.
- [00:20:57.840]So if we ever have any questions, you guys,
- [00:20:59.450]we can always reach out and we can ask her.
- [00:21:02.220]And thanks, look at these great patches!
- [00:21:04.640]I hope you enjoy 'em,
- [00:21:05.690]and thank you everybody for coming along today
- [00:21:08.023]and come and visit anytime.
- [00:21:10.860]Ask your local fire stations, see what they do,
- [00:21:13.750]see what kind of equipment they have,
- [00:21:15.270]because it is super exciting to be a firefighter.
- [00:21:18.660]And you learn so many things,
- [00:21:20.080]and you get to make great new friends.
- [00:21:23.284]All right, bye guys!
- [00:21:24.351]See you later! See you on the next call
- [00:21:28.580](upbeat music)
