[00:01:49.950]and that's what we have had happened this past week
[00:01:52.310]as campus was alive and jumping

[00:02:02.147]for a full academic term at the University this fall.

[00:02:13.290]So, off to an academic year start

[00:02:20.420]with the opportunity for events, right?
[00:02:22.480]So, we had a great event last night
[00:02:24.410]with our opening volleyball game at Devaney
[00:02:28.070]and got a chance to really see those things begin
[00:02:30.830]to kick into action.
[00:02:31.810]Clearly, we're not through the pandemic yet
[00:02:33.920]and we're pivoting with the need
[00:02:36.450]to continue to protect our community and ourselves

[00:03:52.280]even in the midst of a global pandemic

[00:04:00.610]and early childhood education
[00:04:01.940]and engineering and quantum science,
[00:04:03.830]all of these areas.
[00:04:05.900]We set another record for the fourth year in a row
[00:04:08.430]in being a top 100 institution in the world
[00:04:11.400]in U.S. patents
[00:04:12.477]and in filing of patents
[00:04:13.940]and commercialization
[00:04:15.190]and transfer of intellectual property.
[00:04:17.220]We had another record year with a record number
[00:04:19.730]of Fulbright Scholars
[00:04:20.940]and being a top producer of Fulbright Scholars,
[00:04:23.500]had a record graduation in May,
[00:04:25.810]largest graduating May class
[00:04:27.500]in our 152-year history of the university.
[00:04:31.300]We thought 2 years ago,
[00:04:32.980]was that was that gonna be our record class for awhile

[00:05:34.450]fan season that we experienced last year.
[00:05:37.470]So, we do have a new opportunity
[00:05:39.340]for a pre-game tailgate
[00:05:41.140]for students and student organizations
[00:05:43.730]that is being jointly hosted by Student Affairs
[00:05:46.640]and by the Husker Athletics
[00:05:48.470]in the area north of the union,
[00:05:50.180]the Meier Commons Area, we refer to it,
[00:05:52.300]north of Broyhill Fountain,
[00:05:53.940]that will allow a lot of our students
[00:05:55.900]to experience that pre-game atmosphere together,
[00:05:59.290]in a new way.
