- [00:01:18.470]During this time, it could be

- [00:01:54.530]his grandfather's cows to the grazing land.
- [00:02:00.080]About a half a mile from where do I live.
- [00:02:04.820]So he woke up,
- [00:02:06.170]took his breakfast of probably tea and some
- [00:02:10.700]vegetables and some arrowroots.
- [00:02:14.240]Then he left out, to go check the cows for grazing.
- [00:02:19.880]It was very interesting that He could take them out and
- [00:02:24.200]enjoy seeing how they walk.
- [00:02:27.520]How they find grass for themselves.
- [00:02:30.260]And these days spent out of the house,
- [00:02:33.410]Out there in the grazing,
- [00:02:35.060]but something interesting happened.
- [00:02:39.530]Hamisi saw some of his friends playing
- [00:02:44.120]Soccer. This
- [00:02:46.340]Was the soccer ball that they used made of
- [00:02:50.380]Rags and used paper bags.
- [00:02:55.340]It was very interesting.
- [00:02:57.080]So he was curious and went out and played with his friends,
- [00:03:01.240]leaving the cattle out there
- [00:03:04.030]On their own. After
- [00:03:06.100]Hours and hours,
- [00:03:07.960]Hamisi went back to see where he had left the cattle
- [00:03:12.820]grazing. To his shock, there were no cattle.
- [00:03:18.460]Hamisi became afraid and sad because he had done a mistake
- [00:03:23.440]leaving the cows out there by themselves.
- [00:03:28.030]At this time it was getting dark.
- [00:03:30.610]So he decided to walk home so that he could tell his grandfather and
- [00:03:35.590]his mother what had happened.
- [00:03:39.580]But to his surprise, suddenly, as he was walking on, on the path, back home,
- [00:03:44.920]he met his grandfather with the cows,
- [00:03:50.080]walking home. With a light smile,
- [00:03:54.040]His grandfather handed over the cows,
- [00:03:59.020]giving him the permission to take them on.
- [00:04:02.980]And we told him, "twende nyumbani sasa"
- [00:04:08.170]Swahili was meaning, let us go home now.
- [00:04:11.740]That day, Hamisi
- [00:04:15.070]learned three things. He learned that he needed to be
- [00:04:19.300]responsible for
- [00:04:20.740]The work that is given. Also, two,
- [00:04:25.120]he learned that he should not to let curiosity drive him
- [00:04:29.590]towards looking for other things instead of what he has been given
- [00:04:35.320]And three he learned that also family
- [00:04:38.860]is love. His grandfather had shown him a lot of love.
- [00:04:44.500]Will you be responsible today?
- [00:04:47.080]Don't be curious and move forward from what you're given and
- [00:04:51.310]remember your family loves you. Thank you.
