[00:00:08.390]Congratulations on the
successful launch of RICA,
[00:00:12.020]the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and
College of Agricultural Sciences and
[00:00:16.160]Natural Resources is excited about
the partnership between our two
[00:00:20.300]institutions and look forward
to continuing to collaborate
[00:00:24.080]to advance our shared goals around
agriculture and developing the next
[00:00:28.850]generation of changemakers,
professionals and leaders.
[00:00:33.470]Nothing about this year has been normal.
[00:00:35.750]Yet you have stepped up to deliver a
meaningful educational experience for
[00:00:40.670]the students attending RICA.
[00:00:42.740]Thank you for your remarkable
determination and resiliency,
[00:00:47.000]and for always putting students first.
[00:00:50.210]Congratulations to those of you selected
to be a part of the Leadership in
[00:00:54.290]Higher Education (LHE) fellows program.
[00:00:57.080]This is an amazing opportunity for you,
[00:00:59.630]and I encourage you to leverage
this opportunity to grow and develop
[00:01:03.980]professional skills as
a leader. I know for me,
[00:01:07.760]mentoring and professional development
programs like LHE have supported my
[00:01:12.470]growth as a faculty member,
[00:01:14.300]and now as Dean for the
College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources
[00:01:18.740]here at the University of Nebraska.
So again, congratulations.
[00:01:22.940]Nebraska is enthusiastic to connect
you with our talented team of faculty,
[00:01:27.830]staff and students, as well as
our robust agricultural network.
[00:01:32.360]Also a special shout out to the RICA
leadership team and Elizabeth for your
[00:01:36.530]efforts to create the LHE
program. Thank you.
[00:01:40.880]Hello. I know I've met some of
you, but for those that I've not met.
[00:01:45.710]I'm Ron Yoder,
[00:01:46.760]Senior Associate Vice Chancellor from
the Institute of Agriculture and Natural
[00:01:49.970]Resources here at the
University of Nebraska.
[00:01:53.720]I've been familiar with and
associated with RICA from the very
[00:01:58.310]beginning and the other conversations.
Prior to the beginning of
[00:02:03.410]I was part of those and I was on your
campus before it was a campus, before any
[00:02:07.940]construction began. And
also during Phase I,
[00:02:12.260]nearing the completion of
the buildings that are there.
[00:02:15.170]I've worked with our faculty here at the University
of Nebraska on the development of the
[00:02:19.370]curriculum that you are using.
[00:02:21.350]So I'm relatively familiar
with your Institute there,
[00:02:25.520]and I know the great
opportunities that you have as
[00:02:29.930]leaders in the Institute to be able to
work with students and to be able to
[00:02:34.790]have a significant impact on your
country and the countries in the
[00:02:41.180]We're pleased at the University of
Nebraska to be able to partner with you
[00:02:46.070]and to continue to partner with you.
[00:02:48.470]And I know as you are now a part of
this cohort of leadership development,
[00:02:53.130]it will be an opportunity that
you can work with others and
[00:02:57.620]discussing with them what has worked with
them in their leadership positions and
[00:03:01.960]be able to share what has worked in
your opportunities for leading groups.
[00:03:07.060]Working with people is a great privilege,
[00:03:08.950]and it's also an opportunity
to mentor others,
[00:03:11.890]to be able to help them deliver their
abilities and to be able to help them
[00:03:17.770]realize their, their
dreams and their goals.
[00:03:20.860]So thank you for your partnership
with the University of Nebraska.
[00:03:26.230]I know that you will enjoy
[00:03:29.020]and you will benefit greatly
from this opportunity. Thank you.
