- [00:10:27.000]and I will pass it over to Justin.
- [00:10:33.000]Hello everyone, my name is Dustin Rollins, and I serve as the director of residential education for housing and residents life.
- [00:10:45.000]Greetings everyone my name is Jordan black and I started an Associate Director of learning experience within Residence Life.
- [00:10:54.000]We are so lucky to have them here today to talk about all things housing and residents life so that's exactly what we're going to do we're going to dive into a bit of an overview on housing residents experience, just to share a bit about meal plans and
- [00:11:06.000]plans and the moving process, and then we'll save time at the end for a live question and answer. So, this is your time to get all of your last year final burning questions answered before we move in next month, so take advantage of that.
- [00:11:19.000]We are using the zoom feature this evening so are the webinar feature within zoom this evening so you won't have access to your camera or your microphone, but you can submit all of your questions through the q amp a feature.
- [00:11:31.000]So along the little toolbar of your zoom screen, you should have access to a button that says q amp a, any questions that you want to ask a decimal Jordan this evening.
- [00:11:41.000]Go ahead and send those through the q amp a box, and we will happily answer those at the end of the presentation.
- [00:11:47.000]Last but not least, as always I will be sending out a recording and the slide deck of this evening session tomorrow during the day so you can reference back to any materials that we share and any links that are shared her pastor on this evening I will
- [00:12:01.000]include those in the email as well so no need to stress about scrambling to write all those things down. We'll make sure you're sorted in the follow up tomorrow.
- [00:12:11.000]All right. And with that, we will dive right into our conversation on Housing and Residence Life.
- [00:12:20.000]Awesome. Thanks Rachel. Good evening and welcome to our conversation on housing the Residence Life move in meal plans and all the things that you can expect as you or your student move into look with us and just about a month or a little less than a month
- [00:12:36.000]at this point.
- [00:12:38.000]So again, my name is Dustin Rollins and I serve as the director of residential education. And so what that means is that I oversee all of the live in staff and our residence halls on the residence education side.
- [00:12:49.000]So your residents directors who then supervisor arrays are learning communities team, as well as our residential curriculum and multiple other pieces of our residential experience.
- [00:13:06.000]So one of the things that's really important to do first of all, welcome you to the University of Nebraska.
- [00:13:13.000]Congratulations on being accepted to the institution, and for hopefully choosing to come here to become Huskers and to join our Husker community.
- [00:13:23.000]We are so excited for you to get to campus get connected, and hopefully really enjoy your experience on campus with us and housing and residents live one of the things that we are really passionate about is that our residence halls are not just a place
- [00:13:37.000]for you to sleep, our residence halls do provide that as as one feature of the physical facility.
- [00:13:45.000]But we are also an educational part of your experience here on campus. And so we hope that you learn as much outside of the classroom as you do inside of the classroom.
- [00:13:57.000]And so we believe that as a result of living on campus here you are now that you will thrive as engage members of your communities, and that might be communities you find on campus with your residents on your floor with your building community with your
- [00:14:13.000]complex which has a number of residence halls connected together that community, and clubs in the Lincoln community etc. But more importantly, we also hope to provide you the skills and the opportunities to really be able to engage as members of communities,
- [00:14:29.000]when you leave us after four years or so with with your degree from the University of Nebraska.
- [00:14:35.000]We want to make sure that everyone is prepared to go out and have a wonderful experience and live your life with your education and the excitement that that brings.
- [00:14:46.000]So the way that we achieve that goal is through what we call the Husker power framework. And so, things that we really focus on and housing with students is thinking about their purpose.
- [00:14:57.000]So helping students really reflect on, you know what is the purpose of their degree Why are they here seeking that degree Why did they choose Nebraska, and how can we be helpful in helping students find success at the institution and onward.
- [00:15:14.000]We want students to really own their experience. And so really think about what it means to own the four years you're here, really, how do you get engaged, how do you choose to engage on campus and in what are ways that you can take control or take, take
- [00:15:30.000]the lead on your development, our staff will be here to support you, our staff will be here to partner and provide resources, and to provide some skill building and capacity building, but we really want students to be at the helm of that to help co create
- [00:15:44.000]that experience. We also focus on well being so and well being is not necessarily just physical well being, although that's really important and we certainly have resources for that, but also thinking about whether it be mindfulness, whether it be emotional
- [00:15:59.000]well being, psychological well being, you know, all of those pieces are really important to us here at the university. and we want to make sure that students have access to those resources and start to build their repertoire for postgraduate life.
- [00:16:14.000]We really want students to engage we want students to get involved, you know, how do they get involved with things about their chosen career field, how do they get involved in things that are social and fun.
- [00:16:24.000]How do they choose clubs or athletic teams or even community organizations here in the city of Lincoln that they really want to be a participant in. And finally, continuing to help students build relationships and think about how to share space, particularly
- [00:16:39.000]in our residence halls, but also within the groups that they choose to join in college is a really exceptional time and folks lives it's really a formative time.
- [00:16:52.000]And a lot of the relationships they build here will last them for the rest of their lives. Even if they end up in separate physical cities across the country from those that they build the relationships with.
- [00:17:02.000]And so we talk a lot about how to share in the residence halls, we'll talk a lot about how to share space, how to handle conflict, how to make productive conversations out of difference and work across difference.
- [00:17:16.000]All of those while helpful in your living environment are also things that employers are really looking for from our graduates.
- [00:17:27.000]So all of that comes through practically and what we call the Nebraska residential experience. And so we hope that when students live with us, and that they will choose to engage in the offerings that we have in the residence halls in the dining centers.
- [00:17:41.000]So the Nebraska residential experience is a sequence to scaffold it way of helping you as a student, figure out where your spot here at Nebraska is, and to help build those capacities for postgraduate life.
- [00:17:56.000]We do those two programs we have a lot of programs, some are very social summer a little more educational, but at all times we're trying to help students have experiential learning opportunities coming back to the residence hall and sitting and listening
- [00:18:10.000]to us talk as though you were in class we know that's not what you want. And so that's not often what we offer.
- [00:18:16.000]We offer the opportunity to engage with campus resources in person in person is a big opportunity for us this year we are hoping that as we move through the end of the pandemic and our hopes that we can get back to him, a much more in person experience
- [00:18:33.000]than perhaps last year.
- [00:18:37.000]So the three main goals of the Nebraska residential experience is to really help students find community, find groups that they connect with people they connect with organizations tasks.
- [00:18:49.000]All of those pieces, help them thrive academically, we have a number of academic support throughout Housing and Residence Life to help them whether it's find a study group, think about studies skills connect them with other academic resources on campus.
- [00:19:03.000]And then of course we provide support from staff. So one of the things that you get from living on campus that you probably wouldn't get otherwise that most off campus complex is, is the ability to have crisis management response.
- [00:19:17.000]and you really need assistance we have staff available 24 hours a day seven days a week, and we feel that that is really important for our students well being for security and safety.
- [00:19:27.000]And just for folks to feel confident in this new transition period in their life of moving for from home wherever that may have been to getting ready to move on.
- [00:19:39.000]postgraduate life.
- [00:19:44.000]So now as we think about your almost here. And so we think about some practical tips so meal plans.
- [00:19:51.000]I know folks probably have lots of questions.
- [00:19:54.000]Meal Plans versus dining dollars or Meal Swipes. So we have a variety of meal plans for for incoming first year students to choose from. And so Meal Swipes are part of those meal plans, those are what you can use in the dining halls, as well as in the
- [00:20:10.000]markets.
- [00:20:11.000]And so those are you swipe once and then in the dining hall and then it's all you care to eat in the market you get to swipe once, and that's for about an $8 $1 exchange dining dollars are dollars in which there's very little restriction on how you use
- [00:20:32.000]them. And you can use them at multiple dining locations on campus, such as coffee shops places in the in the Student Union, etc. And so that's the difference between those two for our first year students they have a choice between the big red the Platinum
- [00:20:49.000]the diamond and the Sapphire meal plans.
- [00:20:51.000]So the first number you'll see before the slash that's how many meals swipes they get per week. And on the right of the slash is the number of dining dollars they get for the entire year.
- [00:21:01.000]So they will get half of those in the fall semester and half of those in the spring semester. So if you were to have the big red plan for example you would get 18 meals a week both spring and fall, and you would get $100 each semester spring and fall
- [00:21:15.000]which adds up to that $200 and defining dollars.
- [00:21:19.000]Students are able to swipe.
- [00:21:23.000]In our meal periods, we have four meal periods.
- [00:21:26.000]We have breakfast lunch dinner and late night, and they can swipe one stirring. each of those meal periods in the fall semester.
- [00:21:40.000]If students would like to change their meal plans, the best way to do that is to contact our dining office, and they will have specific instructions on ways to do that.
- [00:21:49.000]And so if you go to our housing.ul.edu website, you'll be able to see how to contact them you can always email housing@ul.edu.
- [00:22:01.000]And dietary needs. If you have a, if you are your student have specific dietary needs and are concerned about the dining possibility to provide for those what we would have you do is reach out to our Registered Dietitian Her name is Pam pam Edwards, you
- [00:22:18.000]can also look that up on the dining website, and she is able to help our dining staff customize meals for specific dietary needs. In addition, each of our bill options or dining centers have different specialties, in some ways, and we do have a dining
- [00:22:34.000]center that has an allergen aware section as well and so that is something students might be interested in.
- [00:22:47.000]So moving information so moving will occur August 16 through the 19th move in will start at the bob Devaney Center, which is our body of a sports complex, students will need to check in there that's where you will get in the checkout line and get a lot
- [00:23:05.000]of really important information.
- [00:23:07.000]Also get up to your room and all of those good things.
- [00:23:12.000]Once you have completed that process you will be lined up in cars in a queue, and then released by your appointment time for your hall. Once you arrive, and drive over to your hall on city or East Campus.
- [00:23:25.000]At that point we have what we call curbside move in. So we have a company that we have hired for curbside move in the car pulls you in your car pull up your items come out of your car, the crew will then take the items to your room while they're doing
- [00:23:42.000]that, you will take your car and park your car, and then by the time you get back to your room. The goal is that you walk in and your items are there and you can just simply begin unpacking move in time so there's appointment times, they will be emailed
- [00:23:57.000]to every incoming student that's moving in on August 2. So here in just about a week and a half from now.
- [00:24:05.000]And if you have any questions about your move in time, you can email housing@ul.edu.
- [00:24:11.000]I will share that it is very unlikely that we can accommodate students who need to arrive at a different day and time them what their assigned.
- [00:24:21.000]If we are able to accommodate it usually that will be after 6pm, and they would not receive the curbside moving process so they would have to move their items in themselves, but again if you have specific questions, or needs go ahead and email housing@ul.edu
- [00:24:36.000]and we will get that over to the movement folks and see if they can get you some resolution to your needs.
- [00:24:48.000]Cover 19 so as you all are. I am sure keenly aware after the last year, and covered 19 has changed our world a little bit wanted to give you a brief update on what is happening.
- [00:25:00.000]As of today, July 22 2021 At 6:15pm, we are monitoring as an institution that delta variant and its impact on the link and community, which could change our procedures moving forward.
- [00:25:17.000]But at this moment, the plan is as follows.
- [00:25:21.000]We are planning to return to a in person experience on campus this fall both academically and from a student experience perspective and housing perspective, two things that are really important is that there is a optional vaccine vaccine or vaccination
- [00:25:38.000]registry. And that's at the email address on your slide that registry allows students, faculty and staff who have been vaccinated, to scan and upload a copy of their backs that proof of vaccination for most folks that's the little white card that they
- [00:25:56.000]received when they got their vaccinations.
- [00:25:59.000]If a student uploads that card and it is verified that they have received their vaccinations. The plan at this point is they would not be required to go through weekly testing in the fall semester.
- [00:26:13.000]In addition, that would move their safer community app that I'm going to talk about in a minute to a building Access granted mode which allows them to move about the campus, without any real restriction.
- [00:26:26.000]Again this is optional however if a student has not been vaccinated, or it does not feel comfortable or chooses not to upload their vaccination history for coded into the vaccination registry.
- [00:26:40.000]Starting the first week of classes August 23, they will be required to be vaccinated every single week that is not a random drawing of who gets vaccinated.
- [00:26:49.000]That will be every single student, faculty and staff member who is either non vaccinated or has not uploaded their vaccine information. So that is a weekly test.
- [00:27:00.000]The safer community app is an application for folks on their phone. We really encourage students to go ahead and download this app, prior to arriving to campus, even if they have been vaccinated and have have uploaded to the registry they will still need
- [00:27:15.000]to use the app.
- [00:27:18.000]This app will determine student's ability to get access into certain academic buildings, as well as the dining halls.
- [00:27:27.000]It will either show based on whether they've been tested or if they submitted their vaccine registry information. It will signal either Access granted or access denied access granted means you can move about the campus in the ways that you would expect.
- [00:27:44.000]Access Denied means that they would not have access to specific academic buildings and addition they would not be able to eat in the dining halls, and there will be much more limited to go options this fall from dining in the sense of locations where
- [00:28:00.000]they can get it to go meal. Then there were last academic year when we were using the app.
- [00:28:06.000]There will be options but they will be more limited and they won't be at every single dining hall. And so, we would encourage students to go ahead and download the app, if they feel so comfortable go ahead and upload to that vaccination registry.
- [00:28:19.000]And then that should set them up for success in terms of movement around campus during the fall semester, I would encourage everyone to continue paying attention to the coveted website at UNL Rachel if you wouldn't mind dropping that link maybe into the
- [00:28:36.000]chat.
- [00:28:38.000]This is the main campus website for coven, it will keep you and your students apprised of any campus changes that come about.
- [00:28:45.000]Do to any change in CDC guidance or the Delta area.
- [00:29:01.000]And so with that, we will are happy to open it up to questions and answer any questions that have come in and any questions that folks have remaining.
- [00:29:14.000]So, Justin, I guess to kind of get started with questions. We had a person to ask specifically about students who are living in Greek houses do those files similar protocols to they do something different.
- [00:29:26.000]And do they need to sign up for a meal plan as well with that Greek house or is that covered by the Greek house.
- [00:29:33.000]Yeah, so for students who are living in fraternity and sorority houses that I would refer you to your Greek chapters, move in instructions and housing does not regulate their moving process.
- [00:29:47.000]So I would have your student reach out to their chapter, maybe their chapter leadership.
- [00:29:52.000]If that doesn't help them perhaps reach out to the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office here on campus.
- [00:30:00.000]In terms of meal plans for them.
- [00:30:03.000]That is usually designed by the chapter.
- [00:30:08.000]So we certainly have meal plans, I believe that students could purchase.
- [00:30:14.000]But whether they are required to have one at their specific house would be a good question for their chapters.
- [00:30:20.000]Excellent. Thank you. Um, so as we're talking, we're gonna switch to move in here now. And so as we're kind of talking about moving and talking about that curbside process.
- [00:30:30.000]We know that some students might move in with a special group before August 16 we know that that might happen. Um, is there any form of curbside been offered prior to that, and if so could you provide any details on that.
- [00:30:41.000]Yeah, we will have some curbside move in available on August 15 for those who have been approved for an early move in. So I would highly encourage if you believe your students should move in early, make sure they have touched base with the group in which
- [00:30:57.000]they're moving in early to assure us to ensure them, that they have communicated that information to the housing office.
- [00:31:05.000]You can also email housing@ul.edu and they can give you some more guidance on that as well.
- [00:31:12.000]Prior to the 15th of August, there will not be any curbside move in the company will not be here on campus to do that. And so, I would verify that you are truly moving in early, and then if you have any remaining questions, Go ahead and email that housing
- [00:31:28.000]email address and we'll do our best to look at individual circumstances.
- [00:31:33.000]Excellent. And so then after that curbside so after that cars unloaded, is there a place to park is there you know something like that what would what would families do with those vehicles.
- [00:31:42.000]sure there will be parking options. What we would encourage it well.
- [00:31:49.000]So there will be how parking options, it will depend based on where your students Hall is as to what that option looks like.
- [00:31:56.000]In terms of which lot It is so yes, there will be parking that information will likely come to you on August 2 with your move in time as well.
- [00:32:05.000]It's I hesitate to give specific options today, simply because every complex is going to be different. And I want to make sure that you get the most accurate information.
- [00:32:13.000]What I will share with you is for anyone who is moving in on the 14th which is very very very few, what I would want to remind folks of is that we do have a concerts that will be happening in Memorial Stadium by a little known singer named as Garth Brooks,
- [00:32:34.000]and the stadium has been sold out. And on campus starting at 11am that morning, any empty parking spaces and most lots will be sold for, I believe it's $40, a spot and so for anyone who's moving in on the 14th we encourage you to be here by about 930
- [00:32:55.000]in the morning to ensure that you can get a spot and get moved in, again, that will be very few if anyone on this call, but I just wanted to put that out there and be be clear about that.
- [00:33:06.000]The other days of moving the 15 moving forward that will not be an issue.
- [00:33:11.000]Absolutely.
- [00:33:13.000]So Dustin with some of those groups you mentioned that might be moving in early.
- [00:33:18.000]Could you talk about potentially story recruitment, or Emerging Leaders first Husker and some of those groups that might be moving in on August 15, and how they might get that information.
- [00:33:28.000]Yeah. So, great question, you will get that information on August 2 as well.
- [00:33:33.000]In, when you get your move in time and it will be if you are registered with that group and they have reported that you are moving in early, you will get that early move in date and time so the process will work just as described earlier, as it will for
- [00:33:46.000]all students, you'll just happen to be a day earlier.
- [00:33:50.000]Yeah, absolutely. And with that any of those moving questions or if you're trying to move in early, as doesn't have said, make sure to contact that housing@ul.edu, and we'll make sure that Rachel includes that in that follow up email so you have that
- [00:34:03.000]email address as well to make sure that that's taken care of.
- [00:34:07.000]Um, and so now kind of switching a little bit to what does it look like in the residence halls, what does that start to look like.
- [00:34:13.000]So, our students able to get packages in the residence halls are we able to shift things like what what might that look like.
- [00:34:20.000]Absolutely students can get packages so each room or student depending on the facility will have a mailbox so they may share it for their room where they may have an individual mailbox.
- [00:34:32.000]At each desk, that is assigned to that specific Hall, which may or may not be in that hole.
- [00:34:39.000]They will be able to get packages we accept packages from all carriers that you would expect FedEx, UPS DHL USPS etc.
- [00:34:49.000]And so those mailing addresses can be found on our website on each halls page so if you go to the hall page of the hall your assigned, you'll be able to see that what we typically ask, particularly around move in, is that if you're going to mail things
- [00:35:08.000]for move in that you really wait until the week that you are moving in to do that and that you pick them up the day you move in, as you can imagine space is limited.
- [00:35:18.000]And we want to make sure we have room to store everybody stuff that they get shipped.
- [00:35:22.000]One student packages are received during the normal course of the academic year, the desk staff then have to sort them, and then the student gets notified that they have a package and they can come down and pick up their package.
- [00:35:36.000]One thing that's really important to know and for students to know in particular is generally speaking when Amazon or UPS or FedEx tells the, you know, they send you a notification your package has been delivered.
- [00:35:49.000]What that means on campus, often is that it has been delivered to our central mail office. It usually still then takes a couple hours, or a day or so to, if it's the weekend for that package to actually get to the hall into the students so rest assured
- [00:36:05.000]our desk staff will notify students once it is at their desk and it is available for pickup, but it may take a little bit longer than if it was being delivered to a residential neighborhood.
- [00:36:16.000]Absolutely. And so you talked a little bit about, you know, they can find mailing addresses on those Hall, spaces, would they be able to find something where you know they can see like a floor plan or something where they may be able to see that what
- [00:36:27.000]kind of rug would fit in there, what, what kind of those dimensions are to kind of figure out as they're packing what they need to fit in that room.
- [00:36:33.000]Yeah, if you're looking for an individual floor room room floor plan, you can again look on that halls page and you will see a general sense of the dimensions of the rooms.
- [00:36:44.000]Some of our buildings are quite season, which means that when they were built all of the rooms were not necessarily built the same size. So this website kind of gives you a flavor for those dimensions, but it may be offer a couple of inches or a small
- [00:36:58.000]number of feet and so one thing that might just be helpful is to see the space and then make purchases that might depend on on specific size like rugs, or those sorts of pieces.
- [00:37:12.000]But those are those are available online, in terms of floor plans of what the entire floor looks like where the bathrooms are or the stairwells are those we don't put online for security reasons.
- [00:37:24.000]We live in a world where we don't necessarily want folks in the public to have a step by step view of our residence halls.
- [00:37:34.000]Excellent. So, as soon as you're living there as you're doing that obviously they've got to clean at some point, and clean different things. Where would someone in a traditional hall or as we still have where would they wash dishes.
- [00:37:45.000]What might that look like. Yeah.
- [00:37:48.000]Most of our traditional halls have some sort of Central Kitchen within the building and it may not be a full kitchen so it may not have an oven or a stove.
- [00:37:57.000]They do have sinks.
- [00:37:59.000]So that would be where they, there is not one on every floor.
- [00:38:03.000]We really ask students to not use the restroom facilities, and sinks to wash dishes and things because it clogs the pipes and then we have a backup and then you can imagine those fun fun times.
- [00:38:18.000]But we do have those in the buildings, when the students move in, have them just ask their resident assistant or one of the whole staff at their actual building, and they'll be able to direct you to that pretty easily.
- [00:38:30.000]Perfect. And then on that topic of kind of cleaning up and doing things. What does the laundry look like, what does that kind of look like on campus and you know what my students need to know.
- [00:38:38.000]Yeah, for undergraduate students living in our residence halls and apartments. Generally speaking, and many of our buildings the laundry is on the floor that the student lives on.
- [00:38:48.000]And some of our facilities that may be in a more centralized location, but every facility has that and laundry is free so we do not charge students to wash or dry their laundry, what students would need to provide as their own detergent, as well as you
- [00:39:04.000]know any fabric softener, and those sorts of pieces.
- [00:39:10.000]And right now I'm not seeing other questions is there, you know, if you were thinking things is there one last piece of advice you'd want to toss out there Dustin or anything that you want to make sure to share with you know those on the call today.
- [00:39:21.000]Yeah, I think, anything that you need from us please let us know. We are here to help and help that transition. That is why our staff is here they're incredibly excited to see you all.
- [00:39:34.000]I will tell you as much as our students are excited for an in person experience our staff are also incredibly excited for an in person experience.
- [00:39:44.000]This year I think NFC and for folks who are able to make it to campus for orientation in person has been super exciting and provided a lot of energy on campus that we frankly have missed.
- [00:39:56.000]And so, we are eager and excited for you to be here. I would say any patients that you can give us as we get back into this move and groove would be really great.
- [00:40:10.000]We, we try to make it as efficient as possible, but we are also dusting off the cobwebs of our processes to make sure that everybody has a pleasant experience.
- [00:40:21.000]Definitely. And we did have to ask questions about to end quickly so one make sure to get those four moving on the website it says that access to elevators is limited during that timeframe, can you kind of elaborate on what that means and what people
- [00:40:35.000]might expect while they're here.
- [00:40:37.000]Yeah. So, this is specifically in reference to kind of the eight to five day, When the curbside moving folks are servicing the halls and moving folks items and we try to give them first priority to elevators so that they can be efficient, effective and
- [00:40:54.000]quick. And we can load the buildings and so that your things are actually in there when you get back to the building.
- [00:41:00.000]That does not mean that if somebody has a need for an elevator in terms of a physical need or an accommodation, we can certainly help with that so please don't let that dissuade you or make you feel uncomfortable.
- [00:41:14.000]We just probably won't be able to accommodate as much going just up and down, up and down, up and down.
- [00:41:20.000]For folks just as they would normally use the elevator. Of course once movement is over that will not be an issue.
- [00:41:28.000]But if you do have a need, please reach out to your hall staff, so that we could make sure that we get you the accommodation that you need to be comfortable and successful.
- [00:41:38.000]Lovely. And the one last question, I think, is people are thinking about purchasing that laundry detergent stuff like that, do happen to know if they're high efficiency washers.
- [00:41:47.000]They are and in fact that's a great question we asked that students really only use high efficiency detergents, otherwise we get little floods and fun Suzie time and our laundry rooms.
- [00:42:02.000]Perfect. Thanks for answering all those so yeah
- [00:42:07.000]and plastic Thank you You're the best, and I didn't know that about the about the laundry in the hall so I learned something every day.
- [00:42:16.000]I'm Justin I'm sorry you just hopped off but I would love to toss it back to you for a final shout out on how to get connected with you. As we close out this evening.
- [00:42:26.000]Sure, absolutely. Um, and I did see one last question pop up I'll answer that really quickly stairwells in the halls, as of today July 22 At 6:32pm, we do not plan for them to be unidirectional.
- [00:42:39.000]So again, just stay tuned to our guidance and if that changes we will have signage and be able to let you know that.
- [00:42:47.000]Yes please reach out to us if you have questions between now and move in housing@ul.edu is the best email address, just because they are able to triage and make sure that all the questions gets the appropriate parts of housing were fairly large organization
- [00:43:00.000]with different groups handling different parts of the processes.
- [00:43:03.000]You can also find us at ul housing on social media that's also a really great way to get connected, not only for moving, but particularly for students throughout the year to know what's going on right now we do have a promotion on our social media it's
- [00:43:18.000]called fridge full pop. And so students answer those questions it's on Instagram. They get entered into a drawing and a couple lucky students will show up with a refrigerator full of pop in their room.
- [00:43:31.000]So, and then there's our phone numbers for our main housing office. We are open, generally eight to five Monday through Friday that's also when those emails are monitored so outside of those hours it might take us just a couple of hours to get back to
- [00:43:44.000]you but we really try to do about our best each day to return emails as quickly as possible.
