Each step will be shown including where to find this in a student’s MyRED portal and common mistakes that lead to issues for receiving refunds via direct deposit.

[00:00:11.810]In this video I'll be showing you how to enroll
[00:00:14.100]in direct deposit through MyRED.
[00:00:16.280]Enrolling in direct deposit makes it easier
[00:00:18.530]and quicker for you to receive a refund
[00:00:20.800]if you were to ever receive one.
[00:00:22.740]It's really simple to do,
[00:00:24.240]and we'll just start off by going to our
[00:00:26.220]MyRED home screen page.
[00:00:28.500]Once you're logged in, you'll, there's two ways to access.
[00:00:31.700]You can either hover over the student accounts tab
[00:00:34.900]and click enroll in direct deposit,
[00:00:36.880]or you can click student accounts
[00:00:39.720]and it'll take you to the main homepage.
[00:00:41.660]Here in the important links box
[00:00:43.860]you can see the option to enroll in direct deposit.
[00:00:46.880]You'll find information about inputting your bank account
[00:00:51.899]for an existing financial account.
[00:00:54.480]Or if you're looking for a new financial account,
[00:00:57.077]they have information as UNL partners with Union Bank.

[00:01:10.470]If you already have an existing bank account,
[00:01:12.570]you'll be adding it today.
[00:01:14.810]So you'll click here, this add button to get this pop-up.
[00:01:19.130]What you'll need is your routing number,
[00:01:21.340]as well as your account number
[00:01:23.030]and verifying your account number also as well.
[00:01:27.020]The account type will either be a checking or savings,
[00:01:30.180]you'll select one or the other.
[00:01:32.180]And you'll want to be sure that you're verifying all the
[00:01:34.890]information before you continue.
[00:01:37.670]If the routing number is incorrect,
[00:01:39.420]you will get a message saying bank not found.
[00:01:42.410]Please be sure to double check all the information you input
[00:01:45.290]before hitting continue.
[00:01:47.430]And once you've hit continue,
[00:01:49.570]you'll then be redirected to this page where you'll have to
[00:01:52.780]validate and authorize that you're entering your information
[00:01:56.000]and to do so you'll enter the last four digits
[00:01:58.730]of your social security number.
[00:02:01.050]Once you've entered them, click save.
[00:02:02.837]After selecting save you'll be redirected to this page,
[00:02:06.421]informing you that we now have a valid bank account
[00:02:10.420]on record, when it was updated last,
[00:02:12.997]and the name of your bank account,
[00:02:15.230]as well as the last four digits of your checking account.
[00:02:18.480]If you ever change bank account information,
[00:02:21.110]please be sure to update this as it can cause a delay
[00:02:24.100]in your refund if the bank account is no longer existing.
[00:02:28.350]And if for whatever reason
[00:02:29.690]you need to delete the information you have the option
[00:02:32.620]to do so as well.
[00:02:34.680]Now that you've enrolled in direct deposit,
[00:02:36.620]it'll be much quicker for you to receive any refunds.
