[00:00:28.210]Yep, I'm Ben Stille
[00:00:29.590]I'm from Ashland, Nebraska.
[00:00:31.740]I majored in Nutrition and Health Sciences
[00:00:34.485]I did the Nutrition, Exercise, and Health
[00:00:36.805]Sciences option,
[00:00:38.949]and right now I plan to
[00:00:40.669]pursue an NFL career after I graduate.
[00:00:43.972]After that as far as my career goes,
[00:00:47.579]I plan to go into
[00:00:48.451]strength and conditioning field,
[00:00:51.081]probably the collegiate field.

[00:00:55.534]So Ben is also
[00:00:58.001]working on
[00:00:59.053]Master's degree,
[00:01:00.029]actually he is working on the, first,
[00:01:01.887]he finished the first Master's degree and
[00:01:04.402]then he is working on the second Master's
[00:01:07.074]degree but at this point he's taking some
[00:01:10.218]classes towards that, degree
[00:01:13.668]this summer.
[00:01:14.708]and the coming fall.
[00:01:16.223]Ben, when you think about
[00:01:18.014]undergraduate program,
[00:01:19.664]your option was
[00:01:20.951]Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science
[00:01:23.259]option, in the major of Nutrition and
[00:01:27.019]Health Sciences,
[00:01:28.840]What were the, some of the
[00:01:30.260]challenges you faced when you think about
[00:01:32.544]that, when you come into the university
[00:01:34.605]and then when you started taking some
[00:01:36.728]courses, what are what are the,
[00:01:38.644]some of the challenges you faced?
[00:01:46.694]Yah, um...
[00:01:47.735]I think, a, a bigger challenge for me
[00:01:49.565]was just managing my time, just between
[00:01:51.675]football and school, I'd say this,
[00:01:54.405]this major is
[00:01:55.858]definitely a time-consuming one.
[00:02:00.528]May, maybe a lot more so than some of the
[00:02:02.868]others, so it's really just learning how
[00:02:04.814]to manage your time, prioritizing your
[00:02:07.685]schooling, and really being able to make
[00:02:10.165]sure you excel, for me it excelled both in
[00:02:12.271]the classroom and on the field.
[00:02:14.747]Ok, great great. On the other hand,
[00:02:18.490]when you think about
[00:02:20.001]when you graduate from, undergraduate
[00:02:23.072]majoring in ex, Nutrition
[00:02:24.330]and Health...Sciences,
[00:02:27.430]what are the benefits you think
[00:02:29.990]you gained,
[00:02:31.215]from this major?
[00:02:35.798]I think it, it did a really good job of
[00:02:37.908]encompassing for me, the nutrition aspect
[00:02:40.436]and the exercise science aspect, both of
[00:02:42.797]which I'm interested in.
[00:02:45.486]As well as just
[00:02:46.316]giving a, an overall well-encompassing,
[00:02:49.760]degree in the, in the sciences and really
[00:02:52.846]just giving a well-rounded view of all
[00:02:54.766]those, all three of those areas.
[00:02:57.900]Great, great great. Finally, there my,
[00:03:00.856]my last question is you know thinking
[00:03:03.580]about the, when you are, a new
[00:03:06.166]freshman coming in to University of
[00:03:08.696]Nebraska-Lincoln,
[00:03:10.070]what are the, some advice
[00:03:11.852]you might have for incoming freshmen?
[00:03:16.485]Yah, I think I think one of the most
[00:03:18.255]important things is just developing
[00:03:19.942]really good study habits, especially your
[00:03:22.442]first few years of college,
[00:03:25.130]it's definitely
[00:03:25.940]more intense than than high school,
[00:03:28.754]and developing those habits really early
[00:03:31.289]when the the degree is not quite as
[00:03:33.092]intense in the beginning, will definitely
[00:03:35.452]serve you well,
[00:03:37.202]for later in your degree
[00:03:38.422]when it really starts to intensify.
