Welcome to CoJMC! In this video assistant director of advising Andrea Gaghagen will tell you about the CoJMC academic advising structure and what to expect at your New Student Enrollment (NSE) advising appointment.

[00:00:34.240]from one of us prior to your advising appointment.
[00:00:36.900]We will email you reminders
[00:00:39.200]for things that you need to do before your appointment,
[00:00:41.254]plus send you instructions for how to connect with us
[00:00:44.040]on Zoom the day of your appointment.
[00:00:47.110]We ask that you be prepared for your NSC appointment
[00:00:49.850]in the following ways:
[00:00:51.340]complete your advising inventory,
[00:00:52.940]which provides us the necessary information
[00:00:54.664]to accurately advise you into your first semester classes;
[00:00:58.565]take your language and math placement exams,
[00:01:01.850]even if you don't think we're going to need them;
[00:01:04.780]watch all of the videos that we've created
[00:01:06.650]and shared on our CoJMC NSE webpage.
[00:01:10.840]At the meeting, we will discuss
[00:01:12.620]your academic and career goals;
[00:01:15.180]any college credit that you've earned already;
[00:01:18.210]your math and language placement exam results;
[00:01:22.310]your advising inventory that you filled out;
[00:01:25.260]and we will discuss your fall 2021 courses
[00:01:28.360]and get you enrolled in your fall 2021 courses.
