- [00:00:09.820]Hello, in this video
- [00:00:11.760]I will be showing how to use the swap feature
- [00:00:14.130]in the enrollment scheduler.
- [00:00:15.960]Swap means to switch from one course or section to another
- [00:00:19.220]without having to separately drop or add.
- [00:00:22.610]In the enrollment scheduler,
- [00:00:23.890]you can use the swap feature to switch out a course
- [00:00:26.630]for an entirely different course
- [00:00:28.610]or you can switch between sections of the same course.
- [00:00:32.030]In this video, I'll show you three ways to swap
- [00:00:34.440]using physics 141.
- [00:00:36.950]First click the current schedule tab,
- [00:00:42.470]notice that physics 141 is a multiple component course,
- [00:00:46.960]meaning it has a lecture, a lab
- [00:00:49.200]and a recitation.
- [00:00:51.330]Click swap.
- [00:00:54.670]You'll see there are three swap methods.
- [00:00:58.890]To use a class number,
- [00:01:00.466]You will need to know the class number
- [00:01:01.840]for your desired section or course.
- [00:01:04.652](guitar music)
- [00:01:11.680]In this example I'm swapping physics 141
- [00:01:15.250]for astronomy 103.
- [00:01:17.750]So, I select physics 141 in the first dropdown here.
- [00:01:26.320]Then I input the class number for astronomy 103
- [00:01:35.120]If you don't know the class number,
- [00:01:36.610]you'll need to use one of the other swap methods
- [00:01:38.740]in this video.
- [00:01:44.020]You could use the same method
- [00:01:45.340]if you wanted to switch to a different lecture,
- [00:01:47.610]recitation or lab section of physics 141.
- [00:01:51.100]As long as you have the class number
- [00:01:52.590]for whichever component you are trying to change.
- [00:01:56.300]Next, let's use the shopping cart method.
- [00:01:59.260]To add a desired course to your shopping cart,
- [00:02:01.910]start on the plan schedule page.
- [00:02:04.640]Ensure that the desired class
- [00:02:06.370]is in your added courses list and selected.
- [00:02:09.410]Then de-select the course you'd like to replace
- [00:02:11.970]from your current schedule list.
- [00:02:13.888](guitar music)
- [00:02:24.340]Now generate schedules.
- [00:02:30.638]Once you find a schedule you like,
- [00:02:32.320]send to shopping cart.
- [00:02:34.138](guitar music)
- [00:02:41.720]Then go back to the swap screen
- [00:02:43.920]via the current schedule tab to complete the steps.
- [00:03:00.170]Lastly, we'll use the subject method.
- [00:03:02.880]In this example, I'll show you how to swap
- [00:03:05.020]a physics 141 lecture, recitation or lab.
- [00:03:09.730]Select physics 141 to swap out
- [00:03:12.620]and you will also search for it
- [00:03:14.040]in the subject in-course, drop-downs.
- [00:03:16.598](guitar music)
- [00:03:27.580]Various combinations for lectures, recitations
- [00:03:30.470]and labs will appear.
- [00:03:32.610]Reviewed the combinations and select the one you desire.
- [00:03:44.120]Lastly, click through the remaining screens
- [00:03:46.630]until you get a successful swamp message.
