[00:00:15.340]in the Enrollment Scheduler.
[00:00:17.410]First open the Enrollment Scheduler
[00:00:19.740]using the enrollment tab in MyRED
[00:00:22.220]in the Build Schedule and Enroll tab.
[00:00:25.300]Be sure to select the correct term
[00:00:27.330]in delivery or campus options.
[00:00:30.520]There are two main situations
[00:00:32.340]in which you may want to use the sections feature.
[00:00:35.500]First, if you are looking to enroll
[00:00:37.550]in a specific section of a class,

[00:00:44.450]or secondly
[00:00:45.680]if you're trying to exclude specific sections of the class
[00:00:49.680]first, we will discuss enrolling in a specific section
[00:00:52.970]of a class.
[00:00:54.990]Start by selecting the Sections button
[00:00:57.880]next to the desired course.
[00:01:01.100]Next click on the blue checkbox
[00:01:03.930]in the red area in the top left corner.
[00:01:07.620]This will de-select all sections.
[00:01:12.380]Now find the section or sections you would like to include
[00:01:16.250]using the rows for section number, days, times
[00:01:20.580]and locations or instructors.

[00:01:32.390]and it should become blue.
[00:01:34.970]In the bottom right corner select to save and close.
[00:01:40.720]Now when you generate schedules,
[00:01:43.050]only this section will be used.

[00:01:51.030]Now I will explain how to exclude specific sections
[00:01:54.230]of the class.
[00:01:55.550]This will be important if certain sections
[00:01:57.930]are only for students in special populations.

[00:02:05.870]If you try to enroll
[00:02:07.240]in a section for which you do not qualify,
[00:02:09.800]you will receive a prerequisite
[00:02:11.610]or department consent Enrollment Error.

[00:02:21.040]Start by selecting the sections button.
[00:02:24.250]If you know which sections you need to or want to
[00:02:27.930]exclude you may simply de-select
[00:02:31.010]the blue check boxes for the specific sections.
[00:02:34.970]If you'd like to see which sections
[00:02:37.080]are for special populations,
[00:02:39.240]you can select the I information button
[00:02:42.440]next to each section.

[00:02:46.010]In the Notes on the right side,
[00:02:48.410]it will list any specific considerations.
[00:02:51.540]For example,
[00:02:52.920]this section is only open to WHT
[00:02:56.620]or William H. Thompson Scholars,
[00:03:00.370]non WHT students would receive an Enrollment Error
[00:03:03.760]if they tried to enroll in this section.
[00:03:06.520]So if you do not meet the requirements
[00:03:09.630]de-select the blue box next to the section.
[00:03:12.880]Once you have excluded the sections,
[00:03:15.090]you do not want to or are not capable of enrolling in,
[00:03:19.170]select to save and continue in the bottom right.
[00:03:24.000]Now when schedules are generated,
[00:03:26.450]the excluded sections will not be included.
