[00:00:07.520]Despite the challenges of the last year, the University of
[00:00:10.900]Nebraska-Lincoln is more committed than ever to engage
[00:00:13.860]with today's interconnected world - a world we aim to bring
[00:00:17.460]to our students, faculty and staff through global education
[00:00:21.220]and global experiences. As Chancellor Green announced at
[00:00:24.980]the 2021 State of Our University address, we're
[00:00:28.420]releasing our campus' first institutional international plan
[00:00:31.985]Forward Together, A Global Strategy for UNL. This global
[00:00:37.660]strategy is deeply rooted in the N2025 Strategic Plan and
[00:00:42.140]incorporates all six themes into a global context. This
[00:00:46.300]document aims to both set a broad vision for the
[00:00:49.180]institution and all that we can accomplish as a transformative,
[00:00:52.460]world-leading university. In Goal 1, we build off of the
[00:00:57.100]N2025 emphasis on student experiential learning to make
[00:01:01.180]sure every Husker is Future and World Ready with a global
[00:01:04.860]experience included in their portfolio. The second goal,
[00:01:08.480]Partner for Impact, challenges us to solve world challenges
[00:01:12.720]through strategic partnerships overseas and to launch a
[00:01:16.320]university-wide effort to recognize the impact and
[00:01:19.440]expertise of our faculty and staff. Goal 3 aims to Bring
[00:01:22.960]the Best from around the world to Nebraska by building new
[00:01:26.320]pathways for international students to come to our campus
[00:01:30.000]and by expanding our capacity to better support all Huskers.
[00:01:33.840]Finally, the fourth goal of a Strong Foundation strengthens
[00:01:37.600]the university infrastructure to support the strategy by
[00:01:41.600]establishing a physical hub of international activity on
[00:01:44.240]campus and by working across colleges to adapt and
[00:01:48.320]communicate these initiatives. Forward Together is really a
[00:01:51.360]road map, a call to action and an opportunity to take the
[00:01:55.120]advantage of Nebraska's unique strengths to expand our global
[00:01:59.040]engagement. I encourage everyone to review this plan on
[00:02:02.160]our Global Nebraska website, and I'm excited to move forward
[00:02:06.160]together as we implement this innovative global strategy.
