[00:00:02.500]over the MyRed student portal.
[00:00:04.880]Just a few tips and tricks.
[00:00:07.320]So after a student logs into their MyRed,
[00:00:10.610]they will then see this home screen.
[00:00:12.620]On their home screen, they will see their message center,
[00:00:15.440]which will keep them up to date on any notifications,
[00:00:18.780]including holds placed on their account, messages,
[00:00:22.469]their additional notifications, and also to do items.
[00:00:26.530]It's important to stay on top of these
[00:00:28.570]as sometimes some additional verification
[00:00:31.260]is needed for students to process their FASA.
[00:00:34.908]Then students will see this red bar.
[00:00:37.800]In the red bar there's various helpful tabs,
[00:00:39.940]including the enrollment tab.
[00:00:42.010]The enrollment tab is where students will be able to sign up
[00:00:44.440]for their classes.
[00:00:45.800]However, during their first semester,
[00:00:47.580]students will actually be attending new student enrollment
[00:00:51.861]and then they will sign up for their classes
[00:00:53.840]with their advisor.
[00:00:55.240]However, the following semesters, students will then be able
[00:00:58.260]to register for their own classes.
[00:01:00.970]In the student's accounts tab,
[00:01:03.100]this is where students can view their bill
[00:01:04.820]and pay their bill and also enroll in direct deposit
[00:01:07.600]and create a Husker payment plan.
[00:01:10.100]The financial aid tab is where students can accept
[00:01:12.670]and decline awards and also reports some
[00:01:14.960]other aid opportunities.
[00:01:16.560]They can also complete some scholarship applications.
[00:01:20.370]The academics tab is where students can be able
[00:01:23.730]to order a transcript and then also look
[00:01:27.200]at their degree planner.
[00:01:29.780]Admissions for undergraduate specifically
[00:01:32.124]is where students are able to complete their next steps
[00:01:35.010]for enrollment, check on their application status,
[00:01:37.923]upload transcripts, and then also see some
[00:01:41.610]other additional important links,
[00:01:43.070]including the housing portal.
