- [00:00:00.900]Hello, in this video, we will go over
- [00:00:03.050]how students are able to receive their financial aid
- [00:00:05.750]and scholarship offers,
- [00:00:07.290]and then, also, how to accept any of these awards.
- [00:00:11.040]After a student logs into their MyRed Student Portal,
- [00:00:14.320]they then will select on Financial Aid in the red bar.
- [00:00:20.870]As you can see here,
- [00:00:21.960]you can see some of the loan and scholarship opportunities
- [00:00:25.930]that the student was offered,
- [00:00:27.280]and it even divides it up based off of
- [00:00:29.370]not accepted and accepted awards,
- [00:00:32.280]and additional resources.
- [00:00:34.340]Then as you scroll down,
- [00:00:35.400]you're able to see the status of these awards,
- [00:00:38.640]whether they were offered, accepted, or dispersed.
- [00:00:42.800]If we scroll back up,
- [00:00:44.090]and we select Accept/Decline Awards,
- [00:00:47.400]we then will be able to accept some awards
- [00:00:49.930]that we have not accepted already.
- [00:00:55.570]Students will then have to select the term.
- [00:01:01.510]After selecting the term,
- [00:01:02.680]students will then have to certify that they read
- [00:01:04.890]the financial aid policies.
- [00:01:20.540]As you can see here,
- [00:01:21.770]you can see awards that were already accepted.
- [00:01:26.060]Then you're able to see these are the awards
- [00:01:28.570]that were not accepted.
- [00:01:30.800]You can take action on all of these by accepting them all
- [00:01:34.350]or you can decline them all
- [00:01:36.280]or you can take separate action.
- [00:01:39.090]Some actions that you can take is accepting the full amount,
- [00:01:42.990]declining it, or accepting a lower amount,
- [00:01:46.210]where you will type in what amount
- [00:01:48.170]that you would actually like to accept.
- [00:01:51.340]For instance, with this loan opportunity,
- [00:01:54.080]which is offered at $4,129,
- [00:01:57.740]let's say that the student wanted to accept only 2,500,
- [00:02:08.170]then students will go ahead and press Submit.
- [00:02:14.870]After the student has accepted or taken the action
- [00:02:17.530]that they would like on any of these
- [00:02:19.300]various different loan opportunities,
- [00:02:21.510]they can go back to the Financial Aid tab.
- [00:02:27.220]In this, they're really able to review all of the things
- [00:02:31.210]that they had already accepted
- [00:02:33.050]just to make sure that they went through.
- [00:02:39.350]Another piece that is important to note
- [00:02:41.890]is if a student received an external scholarship,
- [00:02:45.070]then they are able to report their other aid
- [00:02:47.530]by pressing this tab,
- [00:02:52.670]and then they will select the term,
- [00:02:58.490]and then they can add their award here.
- [00:03:02.800]They will need to place what type of aid it is,
- [00:03:10.090]then they would have to provide a description
- [00:03:12.320]and talk about how much that amount
- [00:03:15.530]of that aid opportunity is.
- [00:03:20.640]This concludes the financial aid review
- [00:03:23.760]of MyRed Student Portal.
