In this video you will learn how to add courses, find open classes, search for ACE courses along with learning about how the class notes feature can be utilized.

[00:00:17.640]First, what we're going to do
[00:00:19.070]is add a course to the enrollment scheduler.
[00:00:22.170]You will see the screen in the middle of the page,
[00:00:24.610]you'll click this red icon that says add course.
[00:00:28.900]Here, you'll click the subject tab and say,
[00:00:32.760]you need to take a specific English class,
[00:00:35.380]so let's select a subject English.
[00:00:40.230]And maybe we know what English class
[00:00:43.810]specifically we're looking for.
[00:00:45.720]The ones that are populated here
[00:00:47.010]are the ones that are going to be offered in that semester.
[00:00:50.380]Let's look at taking intro to literature, English 180.
[00:00:55.200]What populates then is the course description
[00:00:57.890]so you'll read that and you can then click add a course.
[00:01:02.890]You will notice the courses that you add
[00:01:04.620]in enrollment scheduler populate over here
[00:01:06.720]on the right side.
[00:01:08.540]Next, we're gonna click on the section attribute.
[00:01:12.750]This is where you would go,
[00:01:14.310]if you want to look specifically for an ACE class.
[00:01:21.100]Let's do select attribute,
[00:01:22.740]let's pick ACE seven, which is the study of arts.
[00:01:27.060]Then you go here and you'll see all of the option
[00:01:30.000]categories for ACE seven.
[00:01:33.710]Let's look at some of our music for non-majors
[00:01:39.160]that's the subject and in the course, these are the options.
[00:01:43.050]Let's pick history of rock music.
[00:01:45.920]Again, the course description comes up,
[00:01:48.960]you'll review that if that is something
[00:01:50.760]that you think you want to take you do add a course.
[00:01:54.680]I have only added two courses for the purpose of this demo.
[00:01:58.660]You are gonna wanna add as many courses
[00:02:00.830]as you think you can take in the spring semester.
[00:02:03.980]Typically students take on average of 15 credit hours,
[00:02:07.490]which is approximately five classes.
[00:02:10.900]Once you get the courses
[00:02:12.180]that you think you wanna take added, then you complete done.
[00:02:16.770]That'll bring us back to the enrollment schedule
[00:02:19.230]or main page.
[00:02:20.470]You will over here on the left,
[00:02:22.170]see the courses that we just added.
[00:02:25.660]Then we wanna review the section icon
[00:02:29.080]which is this little red wheel
[00:02:30.370]so you click on that, you will always wanna make sure
[00:02:34.200]you click on as many sections that are offered
[00:02:36.910]to give you the best chance of the schedule that you prefer.
[00:02:41.290]On this tab, you'll see excluded.
[00:02:43.150]If you click on that, you will see
[00:02:44.720]that there's two other sections of this course,
[00:02:47.970]but there's no open seats.
[00:02:49.610]So included there's one section of English 180,
[00:02:56.140]so you'll save and close.
[00:02:57.880]We'll go do the same for the history of rock music.

[00:03:03.390]You'll notice that there's three open section.
[00:03:06.270]So you're gonna keep all three of the sections open
[00:03:09.690]and clicked, save and close.
[00:03:14.200]Then what we're gonna look at is show course details.
[00:03:19.410]You click on that and it's gonna be similar
[00:03:22.350]to the course description and if there's anything else
[00:03:25.820]that you might need to know about the course,
[00:03:29.660]And then again course details for the history of rock music.
