[00:00:29.300]and we can get to the Online Food Guide
[00:00:31.570]by going to this Eat Local heading
[00:00:34.620]and going down to the Online Food Guide link.

[00:00:43.480]that says Online Food Guide,
[00:00:45.040]and that will take you to our online local food guide.
[00:00:49.480]So the local food guide
[00:00:51.540]is basically a directory listing of our members.
[00:00:56.500]And Buy Fresh Buy Local
[00:00:58.070]has over a 100 members across the state.
[00:01:01.530]They're producers, so farmers and ranchers.
[00:01:06.120]There's farmer's markets, grocers, restaurants.
[00:01:11.180]Anyone who is involved in local food
[00:01:13.880]can become a member of Buy Fresh Buy Local.
[00:01:17.080]And our Online Food Guide makes it easy
[00:01:20.480]to connect with those people.
[00:01:22.930]So the first way you can find local food near you
[00:01:27.360]would be to go to one of these icons at the top of the page,
[00:01:32.090]and these are all different lists of members
[00:01:36.730]of Buy Fresh Buy Local.
[00:01:38.180]So for instance, if we go to the Farms linked text
[00:01:44.810]under that beautiful rooster,
[00:01:47.690]we will bring up a listing
[00:01:51.090]of every farmer or producer or rancher
[00:01:56.120]who is a member of Buy Fresh Buy Local.
[00:01:59.590]So these people are growing vegetables,
[00:02:02.340]they're tending orchards, they're producing honey,
[00:02:06.750]they're producing livestock, flowers, et cetera.
[00:02:13.320]So that is one way to find them.
[00:02:16.680]If you do it this way, all the members
[00:02:19.550]are just listed alphabetically,
[00:02:21.980]so you can kind of scroll through them to see who's there.
[00:02:27.060]So that's one way.
[00:02:28.870]Another way is to use this keyword search bar
[00:02:33.320]and this searches our entire website.
[00:02:36.890]So let's say I'm looking for apples.
[00:02:40.250]I'll type that in and hit return or the search button
[00:02:45.260]and it will bring up everything on our website
[00:02:49.450]that has the word apple in it.
[00:02:51.890]So it brings up members,
[00:02:55.370]so people who grow and sell apples,
[00:02:58.440]and it also brings, up, like recipes that contain apples
[00:03:03.440]that are on the Buy Fresh Buy Local website.
[00:03:07.110]So another way you can find local food near you
[00:03:10.760]is to use our filter feature, which is right here.
[00:03:15.830]And this is a way
[00:03:17.530]that you can really narrow down your search.
[00:03:21.340]You can filter by region.
[00:03:25.200]So for instance, say I'm in Southeast Nebraska
[00:03:28.650]and I only want a list of members
[00:03:32.310]who are in Southeast Nebraska,
[00:03:35.270]I could specify that here.
[00:03:38.290]You can also filter by product categories,
[00:03:41.640]like say you just are looking for honey, you could do that.
[00:03:47.930]You can also filter by method of sales.
[00:03:51.270]Say you're just interested in a U-pick situation,
[00:03:55.770]you wanna go apple picking with some friends,
[00:03:58.570]you could filter members that way as well.
[00:04:03.810]You can also filter by meat and poultry products,
[00:04:07.880]like the different types,
[00:04:09.410]and by value added products.
[00:04:12.010]Let's say you're looking for a hot sauce
[00:04:15.860]or a locally-blended tea,
[00:04:19.040]you can filter our members that way.
[00:04:22.140]And you can use all of those filters in combination.

[00:04:28.480]let's say I am in Northeast Nebraska
[00:04:31.820]and I am looking for apples.
[00:04:35.870]So I would click on region, Northeast Nebraska,
[00:04:41.720]and product category, I would select fruits.
[00:04:46.660]And I would then hit the search button
[00:04:52.390]and the list here
[00:04:56.100]are all members who are located in Northeast Nebraska
[00:05:00.610]who are selling fruit.
[00:05:04.210]So to find out if they're selling apples,
[00:05:08.330]I'll show you what I'll do.
[00:05:11.340]Let's try KrazyWoman Orchard in Scribner.
[00:05:15.340]I'll click on the link,
[00:05:17.110]and first of all I'll be able to find out
[00:05:19.470]a little bit more about the farm,
[00:05:21.130]like where they're located and their email,
[00:05:24.560]their website, contact information.
[00:05:27.640]And then if I scroll down and here at the bottom of the page
[00:05:30.950]it will list what exactly they grow and sell.
[00:05:35.980]And I can see that they sell fruits,
[00:05:38.700]and I can also see that they do sell apples,
[00:05:42.720]so that seems like a good match.
[00:05:46.260]And I can also see that they do direct sales,
[00:05:51.300]farmer's market, and online ordering.
[00:05:55.080]So if I'm in Northeast Nebraska and I'm looking for apples,
[00:05:59.430]I would say that this might be somebody to contact.
