- [00:00:01.058](soft, upbeat music)
- [00:00:03.710]At Nebraska, we believe in the power
- [00:00:05.950]of every person.
- [00:00:07.720]Our focus on one-to-one interaction sets us apart
- [00:00:11.540]and sets up every Husker for success.
- [00:00:15.410]To me, being a Husker means
- [00:00:17.670]that when you're a student you're an individual,
- [00:00:20.556]that all of your teachers are trying
- [00:00:22.110]to help succeed.
- [00:00:24.610]Each of us has a responsibility to keep
- [00:00:27.190]ourselves and other people safe.
- [00:00:30.060]We know how important interaction with professors
- [00:00:32.970]is to academic success.
- [00:00:35.130]And, we're committed to an in-person educational experience.
- [00:00:39.680]Where courses can be held safely in-person,
- [00:00:42.580]they will be.
- [00:00:43.600]In-person classrooms will be arranged
- [00:00:45.990]to allow for social distancing.
- [00:00:48.150]Some courses may be taught with part
- [00:00:50.350]of the class in-person and part of the class remote,
- [00:00:53.860]alternating so all students have regular
- [00:00:56.505]in-person interaction with the professor.
- [00:00:59.920]Where space limits or safety cannot be fully addressed,
- [00:01:04.040]classes will be remote.
- [00:01:06.880]At Nebraska, we all look out for each other.
- [00:01:09.630]We will all wear face coverings in university buildings
- [00:01:13.187]and when social distancing cannot be observed outside.
- [00:01:17.230]Every student and member of the faculty and staff
- [00:01:20.506]will be provided two cloth masks.
- [00:01:24.290]We're working to make our campus safe.
- [00:01:27.200]Increasing our cleaning and sanitation in high-traffic
- [00:01:30.688]and high-touch areas across campus,
- [00:01:34.140]and placing hand sanitizer stations at entrances
- [00:01:38.120]to most buildings.
- [00:01:39.870]In residence halls, one or two students
- [00:01:42.240]will be assigned per bedroom.
- [00:01:44.320]All beds will be placed six feet or more apart.
- [00:01:48.200]Common areas and high-touch surfaces
- [00:01:50.810]in all halls will be cleaned frequently each day.
- [00:01:54.840]At dining centers, safety protocols will be in place.
- [00:01:58.587]And students may choose to dine-in
- [00:02:01.320]with social distancing at tables
- [00:02:03.920]or students can take their food to go.
- [00:02:07.910]At Nebraska, every person and every interaction matters.
- [00:02:12.170]That's our Cornhusker commitment
- [00:02:14.260]to ourselves and each other.
