[00:00:15.860]What do we mean by Enlist Soybean?
[00:00:17.400]So Enlist Soybean is resistant
[00:00:19.180]to three different post emergence herbicides
[00:00:21.850]that include 2,4-D choline, glyphosate, and glufosinate.
[00:00:26.410]Means herbicide active ingredients
[00:00:28.110]like Enlist One Roundup and Liberty.
[00:00:34.610]This is the plot where no herbicide was applied.
[00:00:37.750]You are seeing number of weed species here
[00:00:40.510]that include water hemp, common lambsquarters,
[00:00:43.920]Palmer amaranth, a number of those.
[00:00:46.490]So in this plot, again, I want to remind you, like,
[00:00:48.810]there is no herbicide was applied in this plot,
[00:00:51.680]and now I will show you the difference that makes
[00:00:54.580]when you consider applying pre-emergent herbicide,
[00:00:57.380]and if you follow it with a post-emergence herbicide.
[00:01:01.170]For example, in this plot, Authority Edge,
[00:01:04.080]which is a relatively new pre-mix product,
[00:01:08.520]pre-emergent weed control in soybean,
[00:01:11.200]came to the market last year.
[00:01:12.540]It is a good combination of sulfentrazone
[00:01:16.030]as well as, paroxysmal
[00:01:17.490]means herbicide active ingredient in Spartan and Zejula.
[00:01:22.290]So this is a good herbicide to start,
[00:01:25.040]for weed control in Extent Soybean or in Enlist Soybean,
[00:01:28.780]or basically any type of soybean.
[00:01:32.710]And then you can come back with,
[00:01:34.570]any follow up application of a post emergence herbicide
[00:01:37.680]that can control some,
[00:01:40.530]emerging rich species.
[00:01:42.010]For example, now,
[00:01:44.090]it's been about more than a month,
[00:01:46.720]so we applied pre-emerger and herbicide.
[00:01:48.865]So now, some weeds like palmar amaranth
[00:01:51.480]has started emerging.
[00:01:53.120]And, just to remind you like water hemp
[00:01:55.647]and Palmer amaranth
[00:01:56.740]are the weed species
[00:01:57.770]that can emerge throughout the growing season.
[00:02:00.340]So in Nebraska,
[00:02:01.440]South central Nebraska,
[00:02:02.560]we have seen water hemp and Palmer amaranth.
[00:02:05.070]They start emerging in early May
[00:02:07.671]the new emergence can even emerge up to the end of August,
[00:02:13.240]or sometimes even in the beginning of September,
[00:02:15.400]depending on the moisture availability and temperature.
[00:02:20.010]In this block, there was no pre margins
[00:02:22.060]herbicide was applied,
[00:02:23.800]but we applied the enlist duo,
[00:02:26.570]which is a combination
[00:02:27.970]of a two 40 colon, and glycosade.
[00:02:30.840]So it is a premixed product.
[00:02:32.420]If you compare with enlist one,
[00:02:33.810]which is a straight two 40 Coleen based product.
[00:02:36.940]So enlist duo was applied in a tank mixture
[00:02:39.920]with Anthem max,
[00:02:41.980]which is a combination
[00:02:43.500]of two different herbicides,
[00:02:46.110]which has provided a good weed control
[00:02:48.140]because enlist duo has a good broadleaf as well
[00:02:51.130]as a grass weed activity because of the presence
[00:02:53.388]of a two palmer amaranth,
[00:02:56.030]as well as glycosate.
[00:02:59.010]So you sometimes,
[00:02:59.890]if you can not apply pre-merger and herbicide,
[00:03:02.530]then this, endless swabbing
[00:03:05.030]will also provide you an opportunity
[00:03:06.610]to apply enlist one or enlist duo two times
[00:03:11.620]in post emergency application.
[00:03:14.660]So the take home message in this,
[00:03:16.470]enlist soybean project is number one.

[00:03:19.513]with a good pre-merger herbicide program,
[00:03:22.210]and if you can not apply reemergence herbicide
[00:03:25.230]due to some reason, for example,
[00:03:26.770]if it started raining,

[00:03:30.830]you didn't get chance to apply pretty much herbicide.
[00:03:33.270]Then you can consider applying enlist one,
[00:03:37.787]a maximum two times
[00:03:38.700]in post emergency application.
[00:03:40.430]But however, we still recommend to start
[00:03:42.720]with a good pre-merger herbicide,
[00:03:44.490]such as Sonic or authority age,
[00:03:46.820]or any basically herbicide that has two
[00:03:50.160]to three herbicide active ingredient.
[00:03:51.810]And then come back with a one post emergency application
[00:03:55.350]of enlist one or enlist duo,
[00:03:57.850]or even some replanting net based herbicides,
[00:04:00.720]such as Liberty or Interline.
[00:04:03.000]That will be the good recipe for weed control
[00:04:05.480]in enlist soybean.
