[00:00:08.100]about the program staff that I dealt with.
[00:00:10.840]From the very beginning,
[00:00:11.890]they were very proactive in reaching out to me.
[00:00:14.700]I met some folks from the program at a career fair.
[00:00:18.840]I thought about doing it go awhile,
[00:00:20.410]and then I reached back out
[00:00:22.070]and asked if I could set up a meeting,

[00:00:25.770]We sat down, talked about what would go into the program,
[00:00:29.240]what kind of time was involved, what my options were.

[00:00:33.330]and that's not something you can get with just any program.
[00:00:42.755]I think the key thing here is the diverse course offering
[00:00:46.130]that this program has beyond just engineering.
[00:00:49.380]We're able to learn about other groups within the company,
[00:00:52.490]in accounting, finance, purchasing, HR.
[00:00:55.760]Just having those skills can be
[00:00:57.560]valuable for career advancement.
[00:01:05.150]Another perk on online classes is you
[00:01:06.780]don't have to factor in a commute time,
[00:01:09.010]you don't have a rigid schedule that you have to meet
[00:01:12.250]in terms of being in a class at a certain time.
[00:01:15.130]My daughter was born when I had
[00:01:17.010]a couple classes left in the program,
[00:01:19.230]and I could spend time with her,
[00:01:21.800]and then she would fall asleep and take a nap,
[00:01:23.620]and I could instantly be working on class
[00:01:25.790]again until she work back up
[00:01:27.200]and I wanted to spend more time with her.
[00:01:34.200]I was really impressed with the faculty that I had
[00:01:36.280]with the classes that I took.
[00:01:37.770]One thing that goes along with the online classes
[00:01:40.120]is I just found the teachers to be very flexible.
[00:01:44.340]Obviously, the format allowed
[00:01:46.160]for a good amount of flexibility,
[00:01:47.670]but when I had special circumstances come up once or twice,
[00:01:51.433]the teachers were very understanding, very flexible,
[00:01:54.590]and willing to work with my schedule,
[00:01:56.730]which I very much appreciated.
[00:02:04.160]When I was first looking at the program,
[00:02:05.900]the flexibility in your course choices
[00:02:07.850]was something that really drew me in.
[00:02:09.570]Looking at the requirements,
[00:02:11.100]initially I was surprised to see how much wiggle room
[00:02:13.440]you had between choosing business classes
[00:02:15.690]versus technical engineering classes.
[00:02:18.000]And that was really important
[00:02:19.084]because it let me shape the program
[00:02:21.200]to what I wanted it to be.
[00:02:22.280]I was able to tailor it to my own needs, my own interests.
[00:02:25.250]What I wanted to get out of the program,
[00:02:26.740]what I thought I could apply at work,
[00:02:28.250]or what I just was interested to know.
[00:02:31.000]That was really important to me
[00:02:33.000]and made it a lot more enjoyable than it
[00:02:34.620]otherwise could have been.
