- [00:00:14.060]In this video, I'm going to be explaining how to swap
- [00:00:17.090]and edit enrollment courses.
- [00:00:19.710]First, it's important that you discuss with your advisor
- [00:00:22.670]before making any changes to your schedule to ensure
- [00:00:25.740]that the course you add will count toward your program
- [00:00:28.250]or degree requirements.
- [00:00:30.120]To begin, log into your MyRED account.
- [00:00:33.260]Next, click on the red Enrollment tab
- [00:00:35.780]and choose the correct term.
- [00:00:37.670]The edit or swap process depends
- [00:00:40.010]on what you are wanting to change.
- [00:00:42.120]If you want to swap an entire course,
- [00:00:44.440]meaning you want to replace Theater with Music
- [00:00:47.410]or you want to replace a section of Theater
- [00:00:49.580]with another section of Theater, keep watching.
- [00:00:53.440]If you would only like to change the recitation
- [00:00:56.090]or lab section of a class, skip to the time above.
- [00:01:09.490]The first step is to add the new course
- [00:01:11.500]to your shopping cart.
- [00:01:13.280]If you were provided with a specific class number
- [00:01:15.630]from an advisor, input that number
- [00:01:17.840]into the shopping cart search bar.
- [00:01:20.410]This will take you directly
- [00:01:21.600]to a specific section of a class.
- [00:01:23.860]Click on the search result,
- [00:01:25.360]and the class will add to your shopping cart.
- [00:01:28.220]If you do not have a class number,
- [00:01:30.050]you will need to search for the course name
- [00:01:32.050]using the search bar.
- [00:01:33.830]Type in the course subject abbreviation
- [00:01:36.000]followed by the course number.
- [00:01:37.880]Select the course that appears.
- [00:01:39.940]You will now select a lecture section for the class.
- [00:01:42.890]It may be helpful to have a picture of your class list
- [00:01:45.690]or schedule to make sure newly added course
- [00:01:48.160]will not conflict with the other courses you are enrolled.

- [00:01:53.550]and will be marked as closed.

- [00:02:00.310]For this class, MATH106, there is a recitation component

- [00:02:06.460]After selecting a section, this message will appear
- [00:02:09.400]to offer you the choice to take a class
- [00:02:11.270]for a grade or pass / no pass.
- [00:02:17.990]After choosing, the course will now appear
- [00:02:20.230]in your shopping cart.
- [00:02:21.590]Because this course has multiple components,
- [00:02:24.040]a lecture and a recitation, two rows have appeared.
- [00:02:28.160]Select the dropdown bar after the course name
- [00:02:30.850]and select Swap from Enrolled.
- [00:02:34.070]Now, select the class you would like to replace,
- [00:02:37.230]then press Continue.
- [00:02:41.920]You will now see the class in your class list,
- [00:02:44.490]which you can view by pressing the View Schedule button.
- [00:02:48.190]If you need to edit a class,
- [00:02:50.020]such as changing an attached recitation or lab section,
- [00:02:53.800]hover over the red Enrollment tab
- [00:02:55.760]and select Edit Enrollment.
- [00:02:59.630]Select the correct term, and then select the class
- [00:03:02.900]you would like to edit.
- [00:03:09.000]Now, select the recitation or lab component
- [00:03:11.900]you would like to switch to, then press next.
- [00:03:15.770]Double-check that you selected the correct section
- [00:03:18.340]and move on.
- [00:03:21.570]Select Finish Editing to confirm the change.
- [00:03:25.010]If the edit was successful,
- [00:03:26.640]a green check mark will appear in the status bar.
