This is a great engaging activity to encourage independent play and exploration. We explored so many areas of development with this activity the main focus was using the skill of cause and effect of exploring how cars move down a ramp. Length: 2:50; 1 and older

[00:00:08.400]Welcome to this Beautiful Day.
[00:00:10.610]Today, I'm gonna share with you a fun, engaging activity,
[00:00:14.200]that can promote some independent play
[00:00:17.024]as well as building skills of cause and effect.
[00:00:21.180]With this activity we explore cars and ramps.
[00:00:25.768]You can use this activity in many different ways.
[00:00:28.610]As long as you have something that can roll down
[00:00:31.100]and then something like a ramp.
[00:00:35.540]Today, we explore just a tube and some cars
[00:00:39.840]with our stool.
[00:00:41.260]And we tested out different ways of how to make the cars
[00:00:44.810]go down as well as how far the cars went.
[00:00:50.720]We could use many different materials.
[00:00:53.160]Here we used our tube and stool.
[00:00:56.780]Or you could take this outside and use
[00:01:00.767]a driveway to see how far cars can drive.
[00:01:05.710]Or a slide, so there's different ways
[00:01:09.890]you can extend this activity.

[00:01:16.950]they'll really focus on how you can change things

[00:01:24.560]So we explored how the height can make the cars

[00:01:34.530]it's just a lot of cause and effect.
