- [00:00:07.060]We are at the East Campus Visitors Center right now
- [00:00:09.350]and I'm gonna be taking you on your virtual tour today.
- [00:00:13.020]This is our University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dairy Store.
- [00:00:15.950]It was been a tradition for over a hundred years.
- [00:00:18.940]We have 16 rotating flavors in our dip cabinet
- [00:00:22.300]and it's a great place to come
- [00:00:23.410]on a nice, warm, sunny day.
- [00:00:26.260]As you can see, East Campus is receiving a lot
- [00:00:28.550]of facelifts currently.
- [00:00:29.750]Behind me, this will be our library,
- [00:00:31.810]which will be open in spring of 2021
- [00:00:33.877]and we are very excited for it,
- [00:00:35.710]as it will be a great collaborative space
- [00:00:37.220]for our students.
- [00:00:38.976]When you come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
- [00:00:41.710]you have the opportunity
- [00:00:42.810]to live on City or East Campus.
- [00:00:45.070]Here on East Campus,
- [00:00:46.060]we have the Massengale Residential Center,
- [00:00:48.400]where we have traditional and apartment style living.
- [00:00:52.320]Welcome to a traditional room here
- [00:00:54.104]in Massengale Residential Hall.
- [00:00:56.280]As you can see, the room includes a fridge and freezer.
- [00:00:59.470]And each student gets their own bed,
- [00:01:01.170]that they can leave unlofted or loft,
- [00:01:03.263]as well as their own desk, and closet and dresser.
- [00:01:08.300]We are now at our East Campus Union.
- [00:01:10.350]We are currently on the second floor of the Union,
- [00:01:12.680]where we have our brand new Starbucks
- [00:01:14.256]and a bunch of new study spaces for students to utilize.
- [00:01:17.820]On our first floor, we have our new dining hall.
- [00:01:21.220]Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
- [00:01:22.850]can eat at the dining hall here on East Campus
- [00:01:24.940]or any of the dining facilities on City Campus.
- [00:01:27.510]And then on our third floor,
- [00:01:28.660]we have student involvement
- [00:01:29.870]and career services available,
- [00:01:31.460]for students to use.
- [00:01:33.680]We are now on our East Campus Mall.
- [00:01:36.090]This is where the homecoming concert is held every fall
- [00:01:38.690]and the buildings surrounding us are academic buildings
- [00:01:41.040]and then the building up here to the right,
- [00:01:43.120]is a Agricultural Hall,
- [00:01:44.480]which is home to the Dean's Office.
- [00:01:47.780]At UNL, we have three campuses,
- [00:01:49.530]that are all connected by buses.
- [00:01:51.830]The buses drive around all three campuses all day long,
- [00:01:54.850]making circles around each one, for students
- [00:01:57.040]to get dropped off and picked up,
- [00:01:58.500]wherever they need.
- [00:01:59.940]We're now at the East Campus Rec Center.
- [00:02:01.950]At UNL, we have a rec center on the City and East Campus.
- [00:02:05.620]Here on East Campus, our rec center has numerous weight
- [00:02:08.660]and cardio machines,
- [00:02:09.730]as well as two multi-purpose courts
- [00:02:12.040]and a studio as well.
- [00:02:14.330]And indoor golf.
- [00:02:16.300]This concludes our East Campus tour.
