[00:00:15.580]who are growing up in disadvantaged or diverse backgrounds.

[00:00:26.170]We know that in a high-quality preschool environment,
[00:00:29.040]young children develop very advanced cognitive language,
[00:00:32.930]social-emotional literacy and language skills.
[00:00:35.900]When you offer a child a learning opportunity
[00:00:39.000]that they haven't otherwise been exposed to,
[00:00:41.540]and it's kind of a systematic learning opportunity
[00:00:44.950]like going to school or like going to preschool,
[00:00:48.060]that opportunity boosts their learning
[00:00:51.710]in the particular areas that setting may be focusing on.
