A new show is opening at The Nebraska Repertory Theatre, known as The Rep. A Thousand Words is a groundbreaking production that captures important moments in our lives.

[00:00:29.210]and how we created it is we've all kinda just
[00:00:31.183]collaborated in it, so we all have a helping hand.

[00:00:36.490]auditioned last spring
[00:00:38.190]and then spent the fall semester in class
[00:00:40.330]developing the show.

[00:00:50.780]builds a production from the ground up.
[00:00:53.410]Over the course of the semester, we developed a show
[00:00:56.950]and we had designers in the class,
[00:00:58.530]we had actors in the class,
[00:01:00.010]we had an assistant director, a stage manager.
[00:01:02.620]Using large scale puppets,
[00:01:04.740]the production tells the story
[00:01:06.520]of one man's journey through life.
[00:01:08.920]It's lighthearted, it's really fun,
[00:01:10.368]but it's also touches on a lot of like life lessons
[00:01:13.620]and something that everyone can relate to.
[00:01:15.920]By performing in a professional theater,
[00:01:18.060]students are able to earn points
[00:01:19.970]toward membership in the Actors' Equity Association.
[00:01:23.200]The coveted equity card provides benefits and opens doors.
[00:01:27.860]We are a professional theater
[00:01:30.600]that has the ability to give out equity points.
[00:01:33.830]So it's a huge opportunity.
