[00:00:35.380]at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,

[00:00:39.200]to audition for the Nebraska Spirit Squad,
[00:00:42.040]the first co-ed squad since 2008.

[00:01:27.710]as a kid growing up in Chicago.
[00:01:30.270]My mother, she didn't let me go outside and play too much.
[00:01:33.030]We lived in a little bit of a rougher area,
[00:01:34.810]so I gravitated towards playing guitar,
[00:01:37.410]and end up teaching myself guitar
[00:01:39.046]and just built off of that.

[00:01:43.250]But perhaps Lamar's most important role
[00:01:45.930]is standing shoulder to shoulder
[00:01:47.750]with his ROTC brothers and sisters.
