[00:00:32.590]Faculty here at UNL have a variety of expertise
[00:00:35.890]across different domains such as behavior disorders,
[00:00:38.540]learning disabilities, early childhood,
[00:00:40.820]sensory disabilities and even English language learners,
[00:00:43.120]and even though English language learners
[00:00:44.620]don't necessarily have disabilities,
[00:00:45.890]they might be at risk for academic underachievement
[00:00:47.960]and need support to catch up to their peers,
[00:00:50.430]and having this broad range
[00:00:52.074]of expertise across our department
[00:00:53.797]provides for a lot of collaborations
[00:00:56.010]that can support students.
[00:00:57.967]Our on-campus options include a full-time
[00:01:00.680]or part-time Masters of Arts
[00:01:02.500]or Masters of Education in Special Education.
[00:01:04.790]We also have a PhD program in educational studies
[00:01:07.400]with a specialization in Special Education.

[00:01:13.680]who are interested in a dual focus in academics
[00:01:16.320]and behavior, The first is a Masters thesis option

[00:02:04.746]Our Deaf Education Program prepares graduate students
[00:02:08.240]to meet the needs of students who are deaf
[00:02:10.000]or hard of hearing, birth to age 21.
[00:02:14.162]Our program is designed with working professionals in mind.
[00:02:17.820]It's entirely online and is open to part-time
[00:02:20.950]and full-time students.
[00:02:23.100]We offer three options for students
[00:02:26.370]including a Masters degree, a teaching endorsement
[00:02:30.270]and a graduate certificate in sensory disabilities.
[00:02:34.080]Our Early Childhood Special Education program
[00:02:36.660]prepares students to work with children ages birth to five
[00:02:40.250]with disabilities and their families.
[00:02:42.790]Our program is offered entirely online

[00:03:25.400]and mobility programs together for dual certification.
[00:03:28.490]The Orientation Mobility program can be completed
[00:03:30.800]as a Masters degree for those who want
[00:03:32.580]to become an O&M specialist,
[00:03:34.540]or it can be completed as part of another degree,
[00:03:36.670]another Masters degree that combines coursework
[00:03:39.270]for those that want to become dual certified
[00:03:41.110]as an O&M specialist and a teacher of students
[00:03:43.900]who have visual impairments.
