- [00:00:10.580]and I'm part of the leadership team for Cultivate Access.
- [00:00:13.820]Many of you may be wondering what to expect
- [00:00:15.640]as a scholar of the Cultivate Access program.
- [00:00:18.120]Our hope is that during your time
- [00:00:19.530]as a Cultivate Access scholar,
- [00:00:21.370]you'll learn more about career opportunities
- [00:00:23.310]and gain valuable skills and information
- [00:00:25.380]about your interactions with mentors and ambassadors.
- [00:00:28.360]Let's take a few minutes to talk
- [00:00:30.160]about how you're gonna be involved as a scholar.
- [00:00:32.720]Regular meetings with your mentor will happen virtually
- [00:00:35.110]and provide an opportunity for you to learn from them
- [00:00:37.260]and ask questions about career opportunities.

- [00:00:44.540]The Cultivate Access ambassadors are excited to meet you.
- [00:00:47.920]The ambassadors are University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- [00:00:50.170]undergraduate students
- [00:00:51.320]and their role is to help facilitate connections
- [00:00:53.410]between you and the mentor
- [00:00:55.130]and to support you in the program.
- [00:00:57.090]It will be important during your time in Cultivate Access
- [00:00:59.690]that you respond to communication
- [00:01:01.330]from ambassadors and mentors in a timely way.
- [00:01:04.590]This usually means doing your best to respond
- [00:01:06.610]to an email, text or phone call within 24 hours.
- [00:01:09.870]As a Cultivate Access leadership team,
- [00:01:11.840]we've created some activities like reflections and surveys
- [00:01:15.090]to help you gain skills and knowledge
- [00:01:16.610]which will support you in reaching your career goals.
- [00:01:19.650]These activities will not require too much of your time
- [00:01:21.960]but they will help you do some thinking
- [00:01:23.230]about what your goals are right now
- [00:01:24.800]and where you hope to go in the future.
