[00:00:06.090]So hello everyone, I am Shreeya Vaitla.
[00:00:09.270]I'm a sophomore student double majoring
[00:00:11.200]in computer science and math, and I'm from India.
[00:00:15.160]This is my video for a day in Lincoln.
[00:00:19.220]I live off-campus, so I have to sometimes walk to campus,
[00:00:23.170]or I take the bus routes.
[00:00:25.820]This beautiful route you see behind me, this is a park.
[00:00:30.452]I travel through that route to go to the campus.
[00:00:35.962]This is a police station.
[00:00:37.351]This is a police station right next to the suites.
[00:00:40.370]It's really close to campus.
[00:00:43.010]As we can see, there are buses running around.
[00:00:46.610]Right here is the Nebraska Union.
[00:00:49.518](upbeat electronic music)
[00:00:59.290]Union is the place where you can just go and sit,
[00:01:02.610]just to hang out, and you can eat.
[00:01:04.790]There's also Starbucks in the Union.
[00:01:07.190]I usually do my homework there sometimes,
[00:01:09.830]but not all the time.
[00:01:11.542](upbeat electronic music)
[00:01:20.050]Now we're going to my favorite spot in the campus,
[00:01:25.520]and that's this fountain right here.
[00:01:30.250]That's the back side of the Union.
[00:01:33.110]But this, this right here,
[00:01:35.650]is my favorite spot in the campus.
[00:01:38.460]It's just so soothing when you just want to relax
[00:01:42.780]after a long day, you just come and have a seat
[00:01:45.520]by the hammocks or by the ledge there.
[00:01:50.910]It's just so peaceful.
[00:01:53.583](upbeat funk music)
[00:01:55.820]Well, here is my favorite.
[00:01:59.000]This is the Love Library, and if you are a student,
[00:02:03.030]you will find yourself using the Learning Commons over here.
[00:02:06.840]You can find rooms that you can book ahead of time,
[00:02:11.690]or you can just find a nice study spot over here
[00:02:15.270]with Dunkin' Donuts right beside you.
[00:02:18.900]It's really peaceful, and this is one of the places
[00:02:22.110]I spend my time to study for my exams, or study for classes.
[00:02:25.940]And as you can see, that building right there,
[00:02:30.300]is the Oldfather Hall,
[00:02:32.840]and that is the tallest building on campus.
[00:02:38.640]As you can hear in the background,
[00:02:41.150]that is the clock tower that reminds us of the time
[00:02:45.600]and tells us if we are late or fast.
[00:02:49.460]Can you see these brackets over here,
[00:02:52.370]just in front of the clock tower?
[00:02:55.200]There's a myth that says that if you go through them,
[00:02:58.370]you're going to fail a class in your semester.
[00:03:01.971]I don't know, I didn't really want to take a chance
[00:03:06.220]with that, so I never went through it.
[00:03:09.230]Can you see this weird red thing over there?
[00:03:12.340]Okay, there's a myth about that that says
[00:03:15.660]if you look from certain angles,
[00:03:17.450]you can find all the alphabets.
[00:03:21.180]I haven't really tried it, but can you find any letters
[00:03:24.980]of the alphabet in there, I don't know.
[00:03:28.481](chill electronic music)
[00:03:32.790]Well, this is Avery Hall.
[00:03:36.340]I have most of my classes there because of my major.
[00:03:40.620]It is the second-most place that I spend most of my time at.
[00:03:44.350]So that was my perspective of what the campus looks like,
[00:03:50.490]so I hope you enjoy it.
