[00:00:12.150]So I took two classes while I was in Barcelona.
[00:00:15.070]My first one was Intercultural Management.
[00:00:17.680]Just how to interact with people
[00:00:19.110]from a different culture.
[00:00:20.530]We had a ton of guest speakers.
[00:00:21.810]Learned a lot about current issues.
[00:00:23.950]So, in the classroom I earned six credits
[00:00:27.240]and we also took an online class,
[00:00:29.230]so nine in total.
[00:00:30.750]I had traveled before but never had I been
[00:00:33.720]fully emersed in just one place and one culture.
[00:00:37.640]Every morning I would take the metro
[00:00:39.320]into the city center, which was Catalonia,
[00:00:41.230]and after class we'd either head to the beach
[00:00:44.680]or just go to one of the various neighborhoods and explore.
[00:00:48.770]My favorite thing to do in Barcelona
[00:00:50.300]was cafe hoping.
[00:00:51.910]It's just all about drinking coffee and learning
[00:00:54.330]about the flavors (mumbles).
[00:00:56.340]My most memorable weekend trip was definitely
[00:00:58.580]going to Pamplona for the San Fermi festivals
[00:01:01.100]where they do the running of the bulls.
[00:01:03.330]Yeah, so we went on a lot of weekend trips,
[00:01:05.260]but one that really sticks out to me
[00:01:07.200]is we went to Ibiza for a weekend.
[00:01:08.850]We hiked down there and we did some
[00:01:11.560]cliff jumping and swiming in the ocean.
[00:01:13.400]Just the clearest, bluest water ever.
[00:01:15.820]So that really sticks out to me because
[00:01:17.060]we totally-- we made this happen.
[00:01:19.360]Like we wanted to do this and we went for it
[00:01:21.310]and had the best experience in just
[00:01:23.200]the most beautiful place I've ever been.

[00:01:40.200]It's kind of tough because there are
[00:01:41.130]so many cool places to hang out in Barcelona.
[00:01:43.520]But I'd have to go with the Rambla or (mumbles),
[00:01:47.806]which is the beach where everyone hangs out.
[00:01:49.640]When we went to class most days
[00:01:50.530]we would bring all of our swim stuff with us.
[00:01:52.800]We would bring out beach bags, our towels,
[00:01:54.310]our sunscreen.
[00:01:55.300]We'd hop on the metro right after class,
[00:01:56.730]head straight to the beach.
[00:01:58.010]It's a beach that they actually made
[00:01:59.700]it for the Olympics in the 90's and it's
[00:02:03.530]always packed with people from all over the world.
[00:02:05.490]So we met Australians, Europeans, other Americans,
[00:02:08.670]and the water's perfect, the beach is clean.
[00:02:11.457]It's just a really fun place to hang out.
[00:02:13.880]I think most people did get scholarships,
[00:02:16.490]but I completely funded my trip through scholarships.
[00:02:20.440]There's no way that you can't fund a trip,
[00:02:23.260]like this is a really affordable trip
[00:02:25.560]but there's scholarships all over the place.
[00:02:27.960]You don't have to go through the College of Business
[00:02:30.190]or UNL, you can go through other parties
[00:02:33.010]and it's just really affordable and there's
[00:02:35.550]do many different avenues that you can go down
[00:02:37.690]to find funding.
[00:02:39.880]If you're on the fence, definitely just
[00:02:41.280]go over the fence and do it.
[00:02:42.680]That's how I was before my first trip.
[00:02:45.180]I just did it and it was one of the best
[00:02:46.730]experiences of my life and it made me do it again.
