[00:00:09.730]are able to get a first look at what this College Business
[00:00:13.200]has to offer, the University as a whole.
[00:00:15.380]And also just to be able to connect with them,
[00:00:18.220]to form a relationship with them that hopefully goes above
[00:00:20.240]and beyond the program.
[00:00:21.820]So you have a full day of activities and just...
[00:00:25.810]breakout sessions where you can work with other high school
[00:00:28.770]students developing business speeches.
[00:00:30.640]You sit on sessions where professors give you a little bit
[00:00:33.300]of an overview about different minors and majors available.
[00:00:36.490]You visit some of the local businesses within Lincoln.
[00:00:39.040]And then there's just fun stuff, as well.
[00:00:40.570]You get to go in scavenger hunts, we have some free time
[00:00:43.370]or you can socialize and get to know the other kids.
[00:00:46.240]I kinda wanna challenge myself, I'm usually a quiet person
[00:00:49.730]so, I think that was one of my major reasons,
[00:00:52.544]just meeting new people, since I... UNL was my first option
[00:00:55.620]to go to college, so that's probably why I decided
[00:01:00.010]to come for the program.
[00:01:02.000]As a high school I would've preferred to spend my summer
[00:01:03.760]doing other things, but ultimately I decided to go ahead
[00:01:06.070]and try it out.
[00:01:07.140]And it was definitely one of the best decisions I made.
[00:01:09.100]Mainly I got my foot on the door, got a good preview
[00:01:12.540]of what the college life was like, time management
[00:01:14.860]and all that.
[00:01:15.693]And also got a good idea of what
[00:01:17.070]the different programs available were.
[00:01:20.220]If you're thinking about going to college,
[00:01:21.820]even if it's not a business major, I would say
[00:01:24.580]do this program just because it's a lot of fun.
[00:01:28.040]And you'll learn a lot about business and just get to meet
[00:01:30.960]a lot of other cool students that are in the same
[00:01:33.310]position as you.
[00:01:34.810]And if nothing else, you'll leave away having a really great
[00:01:38.730]four or five days.
