[00:00:13.650]and today I am here to introduce to you Julie Abendroth,

[00:00:20.480]for Corteva Agrisciences.
[00:00:31.740]I live and work in Des Moines, Iowa,
[00:00:33.920]which is historically the world headquarters
[00:00:35.910]for Pioneer Hi-Bred.
[00:00:37.680]With that, I do come from a farm background.
[00:00:40.250]My dad actually still farms up in northeast Nebraska.
[00:00:44.600]And then I did both my undergrad and graduate work
[00:00:47.350]at the university there in Lincoln.
[00:00:49.530]And after graduation, I did move down to Missouri
[00:00:53.240]and worked as an agronomist for eight years,
[00:00:55.070]working hand-in-hand with farmers.
[00:01:03.070]So within the company,
[00:01:05.450]I work specific within the research and development
[00:01:09.269]part of the organization.
[00:01:10.560]And within R&D, I lead our global strategy
[00:01:13.380]for integrated seed solutions.
[00:01:15.420]So what does that mean?
[00:01:17.160]It's specific to our seed product offering,
[00:01:19.210]so the bag of seed that we sell our farmer customers.
[00:01:22.720]And my responsibility is to make sure that we're identifying
[00:01:26.720]and working across the functional groups.
[00:01:29.890]So that being the breeding and breeding team,
[00:01:33.030]our trait folks, transgenic and native,
[00:01:36.090]and then our seed treatment folks.
[00:01:38.720]So trying to be intentional
[00:01:40.560]and identify synergies across those technologies,
[00:01:43.670]and then at the end of the day,
[00:01:45.530]making sure we're rolling them together
[00:01:47.400]in the best way possible
[00:01:48.670]and delivering them to the customer.
