[00:00:13.072]at the vet clinic, I'm a licensed vet tech,
[00:00:15.500]and was approached by one of the location managers,

[00:00:23.357]got to see what all it entailed,
[00:00:25.260]where really, I was helping the animals and the producers,
[00:00:27.509]which is very similar to my vet tech program.

[00:00:31.790]making sales calls, knocking on doors.

[00:00:38.050]My responsibilities during the day are calling on customers.
[00:00:41.239]I work primarily with cow calves, some PDR show animals,
[00:00:45.560]companion animals, and horses.
[00:00:47.940]So I'll go out, make a farm call, visit with the customer,
[00:00:50.460]see what their operation is, what their needs require,
[00:00:53.470]if I need to balance a diet,
[00:00:55.050]make a mineral program suggestion, horse feed suggestion,
[00:00:58.420]balance a ration for weaned calves,
[00:01:00.718]cows going out on stocks,
[00:01:02.480]or anything to help the breeding program.
[00:01:06.810]Teamwork and communication is really important within CVA.
[00:01:10.100]I'll go out, make a diet, send it into one of our locations.
[00:01:13.020]They'll put the diet together.
[00:01:14.490]I'll look at it with the mill man,
[00:01:15.960]and then getting it delivered,
[00:01:17.790]making sure that everything goes from the mill
[00:01:20.810]on the piece of paper to the mill to the producer
[00:01:22.920]into the cattle and it's working like it's supposed to.
[00:01:25.050]So it takes a lot of people.
[00:01:26.590]It's more than just one person to make this job work.
[00:01:31.860]I feel like my role provides value to our customers
[00:01:36.000]by helping them make the best of their operation
[00:01:38.430]in an economical way but yet they're still successful
[00:01:41.980]in what their goals are with their operation.
[00:01:46.640]Besides work life, I enjoy horseback riding, gymnastics,
[00:01:50.600]and hunting, so I usually stay pretty busy.
[00:01:53.350]I'm usually outside and that's basically what I do.
