Grace Abraham on International Childhood Cancer Day
Description
Grace Abraham, a college student from Botswana, was participating in a five-week educational program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln when she was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer in January 2015. After completing cancer treatment, she has become an advocate for children with cancer in her home country. One example of her work is this February 2016 video marking International Childhood Cancer Day, where she appears with the medical staff of Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone, Botswana.
