Researchers found that women who were subjected to an "objectifying gaze" were more severely affected by the action than men. The study appears in the February 2011 edition of Psychology of Women Quarterly and is authored by UNL's Sarah Gervais and Jill Allen, along with Theresa Vescio of Pennsylvania State University.
