Description

Team Terrestoria developed a mobile application for medical term and data searching. The medical industry is becoming more data-oriented with several industry standard databases of terms, diseases, and prescription drugs. Navigating these data sets is difficult. Though websites are available to perform searches, each database has its own website and none of them are optimized for the convenience of a mobile device. Terrestoria's TOMCAT application aggregates several medical databases together in a mobile-friendly interface. The team developed TOMCAT under a partnership with Dr. Paul Kenyon of MKS Medical Information Systems. The team completed the project as part of their 2011-2012 Senior Design Capstone project through the Department of Computer Science & Engineering's Innovation Lab.
