Description

Nebraska is home to the Sandhills, one of the largest intact grassland landscapes in the world. The Sandhills, which cover more than 19,000 square miles, support some 500,000 cattle. University of Nebraska-Lincoln researchers are working with ranchers to better understand the challenges and opportunities of land management in this unique, important ecosystem. Dan Uden, an assistant professor in UNL’s School of Natural Resources, joins us. Dan, tell us a little bit about how the university is working with ranchers.
