SDG #2 Zero Hunger: Local Expert John Porter

As part of our ongoing expert sessions for the SDG Scholars Program, we present local expert John Porter, speaking to SDG #2 Zero Hunger. John serves as a community environment extension educator and program leader. He focuses on connecting people and communities to knowledge and resources to build resilience, capacity, and equity around urban and peri-urban food production, food access, and sustainable agriculture. His work includes engaging learners through various methods to learn about fruit and vegetable production, farm business development and management for aspiring and beginning farmers, produce food safety practices, hydroponics production, food systems, and more.
