SDG #3 Good Health & Wellbeing: Global Expert Luis Marcos

In our second expert session for the SDG Scholars Program, we present Luis Marcos, speaking to Goal #3, Good Health & Wellbeing. Luis shared his global perspective of how health and wellbeing are advanced in the context of the displaced Maya people residing in Nebraska, as well as those living on ancestral homelands in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and parts of El Salvador and Honduras (and those displaced in and around those regions, as well). He is the executive director of Pixan Ixim, an organization of the Maya Community in Nebraska dedicated to empowering the Maya people through community development programs. https://www.pixanixim.org/about.html
