Chaplin Screen Used Matte Painting for Hollywoodland Sign, 1992 by Illusion Arts (Photograph and oil on glass and paper). Collection of Trent Claus. Matte painting was a group effort by Syd Dutton and other artists working with Illusion Arts. This artwork was seen in the film Chaplin when Robert Downey Jr. and Kevin Kline's characters climbed on the famous Hollywood sign's letter "O".
