Investigating the Effects of Elevated Temperature on the Metabolism of New Zealand Mud Snails
Description
Due to climate change, it is predicted that the rate of invasion will be increased. The Invasive alien species are better at surviving the changing climate. However, we do not yet know what physiological factors help them thrive with increasing temperature. The research on the metabolic rate of the Invasive Mollusk Potamopyrgus antipodarum with increasing temperature is an attempt to answer some of the questions that will help us mitigate the risk of invasion and save biodiversity in a long run.
