Description

Sestrins are a highly conserved, stress induced protein that protects against degenerative diseases and oxidative stressors. In this project, we looked at hSesn2 and examined possible significance at mitochondrial and phosphorylated mutation sites. The focus of this project is to determine the significance of Sestrin2 induction which are responsible for mitochondria association and mitophagy process under extracellular stresses.
