Description

The use of wastewater as a complementary approach to the surveillance of infectious disease is an increasing necessity as a response to the COVID 19 global pandemic. The goal of this study is to monitor the community wastewater of three Nebraska cities for SARS-CoV-2. The preliminary results indicate the absence of the virus in WWTP effluent and the presence of the virus in the influent wastewater solids. Results are being correlated to COVID incidence in each community.
