We use fiction to shape reality through storytelling, worldbuilding, and speculative design. We are located in the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts. Ash Eliza Smith directs the Speculative Devices Lab with creative technologists and researchers Sam Bendix, Sam Lawton, Alex Gee, and Hank Ball.
