[00:00:12.025]This is what Ben & Jerry's has really built itself on,
[00:00:14.667]the idea of being a corporate, socially responsible business.
[00:00:19.609]What does that mean?

[00:00:23.118]Okay. Isn't there a kind of difference between
[00:00:24.943]socially responsible and socially active?
[00:00:27.558]Mm-hmm. I mean, for example...
[00:00:28.748]What I'm hoping to do as a professor is really,
[00:00:31.012]for an MBA course in particular,
[00:00:32.582]is facilitate discussion amongst participants.
[00:00:36.010]We do a lot more discussion-based work in class
[00:00:38.747]and everything like that, just,
[00:00:40.410]more really getting into understanding the information than,
[00:00:44.738]I suppose, doing a lot of the busy work
[00:00:46.971]that we did as an undergraduate.

[00:00:51.216]that is not gonna work out long-term?
[00:00:53.371]But if the financial is not being taken care of,
[00:00:56.749]then there's not gonna be enough to,

[00:01:18.755]And then, you know, they're increasing their profit margin

[00:01:22.061]When they might be competing against the mission.
[00:01:25.729]You're learning more in-depth about typical business.
[00:01:29.808]Show them the different perspectives
[00:01:31.430]that they each might have coming
[00:01:32.805]from their unique experiences,
[00:01:34.329]unique functional backgrounds.
[00:01:36.069]Because a lot of people have had that
[00:01:37.553]real world experience and now are coming back for classes,
[00:01:40.554]so that's really actually helpful
[00:01:41.977]to learn from them as well.
[00:01:43.524]They can't take it any further.
[00:01:44.642]We're hoping that they can somehow make sense
[00:01:47.305]of a overly complex environment.
